After our games we all headed to bed, I didn't realise how much sleep I needed until it was the morning and the sun was pouring down on my face. I looked over at the time 10 am. I remembered I'm meeting Elisa at 12 so I have time for a run.
After the slip up with the whole hoodie incident I decided it was best not to go yesterday, James wouldn't be there anyway because of his exam so at least that was okay. I put on a bigger hoodie than normal, without a shirt on underneath to combat the heat, a black pair of shorts. Grabbed my cap, headphones and mask sliding my phone into my pocket with some cash. I quickly said my goodbye and mornings to my family before jumping over the wall in the garden, it was a habit I developed after me and my mom had realised Paparazzi waited to see me on the corner of our street, in both LA and New York. I ran a different route after stopping some Paparazzi waiting on the normal path they had seen me run on my way home the other day. I made my way through and to the cafe, luckily no cameras around.
"Hi, James. How did the exam go?" I asked adjusting my mask as I stepped into the cafe.
"Good I took your advice about the extra revision while the cafe was quite helpful. You missed the girl you knocked over the other day she was here about an hour ago" He informed me, wow that's cute.
"That's okay we are meeting up later actually, I came by to catch up with you. So now your exams for this year are out the way what's the plan?" I asked him as he handed me my coffee.
"Well there is a guy in my class I asked on a date so that now happening next week, I was thinking about throwing an end of year party if you wanted to come we have become good friends," He asked me.
"I would say we have James, I will think about it thank you for the invite" I replied taking a sip of my coffee.
"How did your interview go? Also, I didn't know how jacked you were... You always wear hoodies but my God it's like you were a Greek god! And if I thought I was staring the girl who borrowed your hoodie looked like she was drooling!"
"Yeah no absolutely not but she wasn't I am not a ripped like a God that's for sure" I laughed and he blushed.
"Whatever you say, right you have a date to get ready for if I remember rightly don't make me kick you out!" He said almost shooing me away, making me laugh I put my empty cup in the bin and headed out the door, thank God no cameras went off. I ran the rest of the way home and straight into the shower, getting changed as fast as possible I headed downstairs.
"There is my good looking son! any issues today? Oh, and you have your date soon!" My mom said as I walked in.
"Nope no issues, I was invited to a college party by James which was nice. I do I leave in 20 minutes" I responded with a big smile on my face.
"That's amazing, James is the barista, right? Oh, I'm also seeing Chris today, he would be happy to see you it has been years."
"Yeah he is, oh that would be good nice is he coming here?" I asked and she responded with a nod. "So I will see you and Evens when I get back! Love ya by mom" I said before heading out the back and over the wall, I pulled my sunglasses over my eyes and headed to the little Italian, it was a quiet little place and I knew Lorenzo the owner he always took care of me and made sure I tried the new dishes. Before I even made it to the seats outside I was met with Lorenzo and he sat me down at the nice table in the sun and brought me some ice tea as I waited for Elisa.
It wasn't long until the brunette arrived with large sunglasses over her eyes and a pretty white smile that I could now see thanks to being outside, she was in a long summer dress it suited her as it hung loosely off her figure.
"Hi" She almost whispered as she hugged me.
"Hi, I'm glad I get to see you again," I said as we sat back down, as we were almost sat directly in the sun we couldn't take off her sunglasses but I remembered her sparkling emerald eyes from the other day.
