The Hall H crowd was electric, the air humming with anticipation as the Marvel Studios logo flashed across the massive screen. Fans cheered wildly, waving posters, cosplay props, and their phones in the air, desperate to capture every moment. The thunderous excitement was contagious, sending ripples of energy backstage as we lined up, ready to step out into the spotlight.
I stood in the wings, my heart pounding against my chest as I adjusted the gauntlet on my Jupiter costume. My breaths came slow and steady, grounding me in the moment. This wasn't just a reveal—it was the reveal. Years of secrecy, carefully orchestrated by Marvel, had led to this very moment.
Chris Hemsworth was standing next to me, already in his full Thor regalia, his cape flowing behind him. "You ready, mate?" he asked, flashing me his trademark grin.
"As ready as I'll ever be," I replied, shaking my hands out to release some of the tension.
Behind us, Brie Larson adjusted her Captain Marvel sash, glancing over at Natalie Portman, who stood poised in her Lady Thor armor. Natalie gave me a reassuring nod, her calm presence a steadying force amidst the chaos.
The lights dimmed, and the crowd's roar reached a deafening pitch. A low rumble filled the hall, a sound so deep it seemed to vibrate in my chest. Thunder. The perfect introduction.
"Ladies and gentlemen," Kevin Feige's voice boomed over the speakers, "we are proud to announce the continuation of the Thor saga. Please welcome to the stage, your beloved God of Thunder...Thor and Lady Thor!"
With a perfectly timed crash of thunder, Chris and Natalie strode out onto the stage, their larger-than-life personas effortlessly commanding the audience's attention. The applause was deafening, the crowd already on its feet. Cameras flashed as they waved and greeted the audience, their smiles wide.
Brie leaned toward me, her voice barely audible over the noise. "I give it three seconds before Chris makes some dad joke," she said, smirking.
I laughed nervously, but sure enough, Chris spoke into his mic, "Just another low-key day in Asgard, right?" The audience groaned and laughed in equal measure.
As the thunderous applause settled, Kevin stepped onto the stage, mic in hand. "But wait, there's more!" he said, his voice teasing. "What's Thor without his family? Please welcome Captain Marvel herself, Brie Larson!"
Brie walked out to thunderous cheers, striking a strong pose that set the crowd roaring. She exchanged playful banter with Chris and Natalie before turning back toward the wings, shooting me a quick wink.
"And of course," Kevin continued, "we're thrilled to confirm the introduction of Torunn to the MCU! Though Charlie couldn't make it to Comic-Con, we're excited for you to meet her in Thor: The Rise of Jupiter."
The crowd erupted again, though the absence of Charlie Gooch—the actress playing Thor's future daughter—was noted. Kevin raised his hands, calling for quiet. "And now, something special. We've got a treat for you—a first look at Thor: The Rise of Jupiter."
The screen flickered to life, and the hall fell into silence. The trailer began with sweeping shots of New Asgard, Sif and Valkyrie training on the cliffs as a storm gathered in the distance. The haunting score set the tone as a voiceover hinted at the arrival of a new force. Then came the end-credits scene from Thor: Love and Thunder—a tease that had driven fans wild. The back of my character's head came into view, my silhouette clad in Asgardian armor, sparring with Sif in a fast-paced sequence.
The trailer ended with a brief but powerful shot of me training with Thor himself. My face was never fully shown, my identity still shrouded in mystery. The screen went black, and the hall erupted in cheers, fans screaming their theories.
