The first few days where the same and me and Claire where acting like siblings on and off set, she was adamant she was going to prank me on Monday after i managed to put toothpaste in her Oreos, after she put chilli in my donut. The whole crew where amazing and the girls where keeping me sane, back at the house in the evening we would have a few drinks play some games or watch some films. Brie kept up her routine of giving me my medication in the morning after my runs and while writing about my nightmares i had started to feel a lot more mentally strong i checked in with Steph on Thursday we had a movie night with Natalie, Chris, Claire and Jamie last night and it's now the weekend so we where free for two days planning something fun to do while living and working with a few avengers gets a lot more complicated than you would think.

"Tessa! Let's move!" I shout through our little temporary home. "Omg Tom we are going for a hike calm down" She groans throwing on her coat and scarf as i bounce around waiting for her and Brie to get ready. "Omg your like a puppy calm down!" Brie complains and i roll my eyes walking out the front door. Too see my four other hiking companions walking up the road, i wave over to Jamie, Claire, Natalie and Chris and they wave back just as they reach the door Brie and Tessa walk out the fount door, they all follow me down the path as we set out on our hike.

The landscape was so enchanting that every time I would reach the top of the next hill and be confronted with the sight of a new cliff edge that would open out on to the horizon of the sea, the beauty of it would literally take my breath away. I'd stop and pause, taking silent pictures with my mind as well as my phone, hoping I would always feel the way I felt when I was out there: safe, relaxed, exhilarated, and distant from my emotional problems and life stresses. I sent a few of them back to my mum as i slipped my phone back into my pocket.
The social aspect of the hike was unexpectedly fab. We were all there for our own reasons but united by this common purpose, it was still early so the sky got lighter as we continued our walk we started just before the sunrise. We bonded, and we laughed so hard, and everyone was naturally in such high spirits.

The walk was starting to get a lot harder as it reached around mid-day and some of the girls where staring to get blisters so i sat us down and pulled out the blister plasters from my rucksack and pulled out the pre-packed food. I noticed Claire was struggling a little more clearly cold so i pulled out a thermal blanket from my bag and wrapped it around her, and pulled out the flask of hot chocolate, hoping to warm her up a bit quicker. I carried on handing out some things i knew everyone needed like an extra granola bar for Chris, some gloves for Jamie and a hat for Brie even though we had argued about it before leaving when i told her she needed on and refused i packed it anyway. "How are you so prepared?" Natalie asked me and i smiled sitting down to eat my own lunch and Claire rested her head on my shoulder.

"Well when i was in the army, i was a captain it was my job to be prepared for everything. It always has been second nature for me to care about others anyway, when i went to school i used to have two lunches one for me and one to share for the people who had less than i did" I explain and i felt claire shiver next to me placing my hat on her head i patted it down and she furrowed her eyebrows in annoyance.

"What was it like being gone for so long?" Chris asked me and i stiffened slightly knowing this would come up at some point. "Honestly i didn't know i was gone for that long. The day i came home was like a tsunami of emotions crashed into me when my mom opened the front door." I explained closing my eyes letting out a deep breath.

"You don't have to tell any of us what happens while you where gone but we are hear for you if you want to talk about it" Natalie reassured me wrapping a protective arm around my shoulders.

"Honestly the stuff i went through is disturbing and i don't want any one to imagine the things i went through" I explain and Brie gives me a smile with a wink and role my eyes.
