Watching interview

So after a week of messing around with Rose in the garden after school and Brie giving me lessons on how to play these games on this Nintendo, saying goodbye to Jamie on Monday morning while James and Charlie want back to work. Mum was preparing for interviews and Lizzie had gone back to her projects. I had a couple more meeting with Steph to try and make sure i would be semi okay to walk on set in Norway, Brie has also informed me she is going to watch me take my pills every morning after i get home from a run. So now what after a few weeks i have an adopted big sister, i am meeting her and Tessa at the airport tomorrow we managed to get on the same flight and mum is obviously dropping me off to spend the last few minutes she can with me. So what am i doing now sat watching my mum on Ellen answering questions about me which i always find awkward but when your mums on TV you kind of have to watch it right?

"So Scarlett, Thomas has recently released a single featuring you. Which has become quite successful but no one has heard from him ever and you have only been seen for press tours. Which makes us ask the questions of if the rumours are true."

Ellen has always been sneaky in the way she asks things, she mentions the success of the song which gains a cheer from her audience but has now backed my mum into a corner for her radio silence after Black Widow, everyone in her marketing and management team managed to keep up appearances while i was in hospital and missing attending different events like the oscars with Colin or the online interviews but always told interviews if they where to ask about me the interview would end. Now i'm home safe and recovered, there is no reason to not talk about it.

"The rumours that i was pregnant in April where false. As many of you know Thomas is in the army." You can here the hesitation and the drop in her voice, her statement gets a nod from Ellen and a cheer from the audience which is where i pause when i get a call from Colin.

"Are you watching?" He asks me worried about what's happening. "I am i agreed to her telling people i was missing" I explain and he clearly lets out a breath he was holding.

"Back in 2019 Thomas was missing in action around the time i was ending filming Black Widow. Everyone was understanding and helped me through that tough time. I wasn't at any of the Black Widow Premiere because Thomas was in the hospital" My mums voice cracks visibly on screen and Ellen's face is full of regret asking the question as she hands her a tissue. "Since his return he has left the army and has been recovering and spending time with family which we are all grateful to be able to have." My mum lets a few tears fall from her cheeks and the visible silence from the studio is defending and Colin and I are both speechless at watching the strong woman we love crack on TV.

"Wow Scarlett, none of us had any idea. We are so sorry, but we are all glad he is better and is able to give us such amazing music. Here let's listen to a snip-it right here" The song plays in the background and fades out after the chorus plays. "How did you manage to work while all of this was happening behind closed doors?"

"It was difficult but like i said everyone was helpful. Florence actually helped me a lot she would help me entertain Rose on set in the last month, she checked on me i think every few seconds it seemed like tackling me into hugs. She was this amazing little burst of energy and light i needed and i am forever grateful for such a young talented actress and to call her a friend"

"Well it's a good thing you say that because she is also backstage right now. Florence Pugh everyone" Florence comes out with a huge smile on her face and practically squeals with excitement as she wraps my mum into the biggest hug, it's so cute to see them interact.

"Do we think it's over now? She has Florence so they will probably be talking about the success of the film right?" I ask Colin and he hums down the phone slightly unsure.
