"Brie i can't talk my stupid son has gone AWOL for the last 4 hours and left everything at home so i have no clue where he is" Scarlett says annoyed down the phone and you can feel the tension through the phone, Brie looks over at me with a questioning look wondering what the hell she is meant to say.

"Hi Scarlett, yeah he is fine I am with him now. Don't freak out." Brie says to my mom, and you could almost hear the confusion and the processing through the phone as she took in the information.

"What do you mean he is with you?" she asks back and the anger and confusion is kinda clear.

"Hi mom, I know your mad i left BUT! You know why I left so don't start screaming," I say and I hear a sigh of relief from the other end of the phone and Brie punches my arm and mouths a be nice. I pick up the phone and head outside into the back garden closing the door behind me.

"You can't just leave without your phone. What if something happened to you. Lizzie didn't know where you were, neither did Chris or Colin. It has been like 4 hours!" She says annoyed and frustrated.

"No, because I needed a break. You know not to bring up my discharge, honourable or not I don't like the reminder. Why do you think I tell people I left? People ask questions if you say you're discharged, I hate that stupid medal that came with it. I'm not arguing with you mom. I lived on my own for the last 4 years of my life, and I wanted to look at the house because I still wanted to be close enough to see you. I know you worry and everything but I still need to live my life, I was a captain in the army for fuck sake I can look after myself that stupid medal proves I am more than capable of looking after myself and more." I say frustrated sitting on the doorstep.

"Your right I am sorry, I know you are I am also sorry for freaking out I get why you didn't tell me sooner. I just worry about you, your my son for fuck sakes and you have been through a lot of shit the last few years." She responds letting out a deep breath and letting go of all the anger and worry built up in her.

"I'm sorry for pushing you out on you too. I will see you tomorrow, I don't know if I will come home tonight but if I do it will probably be late" I explain and she just agrees and we say our goodbyes.

I head back inside and see Brie huddled around the stove in the kitchen.

"I leave to have a conversation and come back and you are cooking?" I ask and her heads snap up to the doorway I'm stood in and Brie throws a wooden spoon at me before squealing.

"What the hell I thought we were friends! Your mom is going to hate me now thinking i'm hiding her son!" She says making me laugh as I catch the spoon.

"Okay in my defence! I did tell you that's why we called her. Oh and don't start about hiding things each other things, miss Larson." I say throwing the spoon back making her duck.

"I thought you knew! How many people do you know called Brie! Also! Don't Miss Larson me Johansson! I didn't know who you where either" She says glaring at me looking for something else to a throwback.

"In my defence no one does," I say moving into the kitchen. "how was I meant to know you didn't even tell me you were an actress," I say moving further into the kitchen propping myself against the counter.

"Lizzie gave me a fake name that's cheating! I was honest with both of you I'm starting to think my mom doesn't talk about me when you have these parties. From the fact neither of you guessed." I say and brie just laughs at me messing around with some vegetables as i jump up onto the counter.

"She does Robert doesn't quit asking about you, he is like a super fan, wanting to know what country your fighting in Or when he gets to meet you claiming it's not fair how Chris is your God father and uncle or all the sports that you do... i think we all just tune out eventually and get drunk." She laugh and I shake my head.
