Chapter 34

The first thing I did that day after returning from lunch with my father was to tell the guys everything that happened there and what the judge decided. They couldn't believe what I said and all of it seemed bizarre to them. I couldn't blame them though. Who would have thought that it would all come to this?

"Yeah and they basically put him in jail." I explain to Amy on videochat.

"Oh my God. I still can't believe how this all happened." she exclaims.

"I know right? It's all a bit crazy." I say and she laughs.

The subject took a route in another direction and Amy started talking about her uni life and the crush that she has on this one boy from one of her classes.

"I miss you. Let's meet up." Amy says. Now that I think about it, I forgot to even think about her because of all the mess that I had been in.

"Of course. This weekend?" I ask her.

"Yes." she answers immediately.

We hang up shortly afterwards. Amy told me that we were going to go to a frat party and that she was going to introduce me to some people from her uni. Without letting any thing distract me, I stand up and sit down at my desk. I open my laptop and look at the list of assignments that need to be done.

After working for almost two hours, I manage to tick off most of the assignments and let myself take a break. Ten minutes into my break and I'm already bored. I consider texting the guys to ask if they had free time to take a walk but I decide against it because I felt like I would be disturbing them because I knew that they had uni work to do as well.

Just as I was about to leave, my phone rang and I picked it up to see it was Henry.

"Hey" I greet him.

He greets me back. "Was I interrupting?" he asks.

"No. not at all. What's up?" I ask.

"Nothing much. I wanted to ask if you had free time today."

"I do, yes." I shortly respond and wait for him to speak because it felt like he was going to ask something specific.

"Well if you didn't have any other plans, I figured we could do something together." he replies.

"I was just going to go for a walk, do you want to come?" I offer, as I do not plan on ditching my own time to walk for him.

"Wait outside the campus, I'll be there in ten minutes." he says.

"Alright, bye" I say and hang up.

I do as I'm told and I wait outside for him. The thought of meeting up with Henry alone makes me think if it is a good idea, since things got a little bit weird since the "incident" after dinner. I try my best not to think about it anymore as I see him approaching me from afar.

He greets me and hugs at the same time and I do the same. He is wearing grey sweatpants, a white t shirt and white sneakers, the typical outfit.

"How are you?" he asks right after we start walking.

"Im fine, I just got tired of all the uni work and decided I needed a break." I answer precisely. "And you?"

"Same, I finished all my assignments though." he replies.

"I envy you right now." I say and this makes him let out a little laugh.

We grab a coffee on our way to the park and start making a conversation.
