After the waiter serves our drinks I thank him politely and take a sip out of my soda. Lana looks less tense than she was ten minutes ago.
"How was your first day?" Jace asks unexpectedly and looks at me.
"It was great. I enjoyed every class and the professors seemed nice as well. This one professor even told me to "keep up the good work" after I answered several questions which was a little weird because who says that on the first day?" I answer as long as possible.
"You probably did an incredible job then" he says smiling.
"I guess I did" I chuckle.
"How about you?" Ty asks facing Lana.
"I thought it was going to be stressful but it appears I was wrong. It was very chill" she briefly responds.
"Oh don't worry, the stressful days are ahead" Ty laughs and glances at the table.
"I'm very excited" I sarcastically say. Everybody laughs and the waiter approaches out table with four plates in his hands. He puts our dishes in front of us and leaves the table. We start eating our meals and a quick silence enters the atmosphere.
"This is good" I say while pointing at the plate in front of me. Jace chuckles and Ty smiles.
"What should we do next?" Ty asks and looks at everyone one by another.
"We'll let Lana decide, she is the new one" I joke. Considering the fact that I am also new, I feel like I have been here since last year.
"You are the new one" Jace says to me and drinks his soda. Everybody laughs at his joke.
"Guys, I appreciate your kindness but I have no idea, it is really up to you" Lana kindly says. Her politeness and fun personality makes me feel comfortable around her.
"We could go to the cinema. They have this one movie tonight that I heard is awesome" Ty suggests.
"I mean going to the cinema sounds a little bit cheesy but alright" I answer. Jace looks confused by my response but Ty is smiling. Maybe he understood exactly what I mean.
"Cheesy?" Jace asks.
"Yeah, I feel like it is a place where only couples go on a date. I have never been to a cinema, probably only when I was a child but I don't remember that." I explain and take a bite of my pizza.
"What? That is crazy!" he is surprised by my answer.
"It's just I can not imagine how awkward it would be if a kissing scene came up for like a couple of seconds" I continue talking.
"And" Jace expects me to resume explaining.
"I would feel very uncomfortable, almost like I wouldn't know what to do" I add and take my soda in my hand.
"You don't have to do anything" he laughs. I join him and so do Ty and Lana. We carry on chatting and eating our food. Despite the fact that we got to know Lana a little amount of time ago, she seems to be fitting in very well. It is not quite possible for us to share the exact same character traits but her personality is admiring. She was nervous to meet the guys, but now she is talking to them without a problem.
"So, movies?" Jace asks to confirm our plan. His dark green eyes meet mine and I nod in agreement.
"When is it?" Lana questions the group.
"7:30 PM" Ty answers briefly. I look at my phone and notice that we have four hours till the movie starts.
"I could really use a nap till then, I haven't slept well" Lana states. I look at her and notice that she looks tired.
"I'm also kind of tired" I agree with my new friend. We finish our food and call for the waiter to bring our check. Lana and I both grab our bags to take out money but that is when the boys stop us.
"This one is on us" Jace says with his deep voice. Both of them pay for the meal and we stand up and leave the diner. The fresh air relaxes me on the way back. We reach the campus and agree on meeting each other in the yard at 7 PM.
"Thank you for the lovely lunch, guys" she says.
"No problem, we'll see you outside" Ty speaks.
"Sure, bye" she heads towards her room which is one gear away than mine.
"You want to come with us?" Jace asks.
"Sure" I say and follow them into their room. I take a seat on Jace's bed and take out my phone to take a look at the time and lock the screen right away.
"So, Lana is nice" Ty says and looks me in the eyes.
"She is. I thought she was annoying, but guess I was wrong" I admit.
"Why did you think she was annoying?" Ty sounds confused.
"I don't know. She sat right next to me this morning and started talking" I try to make sense with my words.
"And talking is bad? Classic Bel" Ty laughs. His white teeth stand out along his smile.
"I was just too tired to talk to her or to look like . I answered her questions as briefly as possible" I tell. "I like her now though" I add.
"That's good" my best friend chuckles. His smile instantly puts one on my face. Suddenly, Jace comes out of the bathroom. Water drops roll fast down his pink cheeks.
"You want to drive tonight?" Ty asks him as soon as he sees him.
"Sure" he says while drying his face with a white towel. Them speaking of driving makes me miss my car. For my eighteenth birthday my dad bought me a BWM i8 and it is in our garage at the moment.
"I have to get my car" I speak my thought out loud without noticing.
"Oh right, I forgot you had one" Ty realizes.
"Forgot? Dude, I have a freaking BMW i8 at home" I tease. Ty laughs and Jace joins him.
"When do you plan on getting it back?" Ty asks. I don't want to leave the campus just yet, but I also want my car as soon as possible.
"I don't know, maybe in two weeks" I state unsurely. Jace takes a seat right next to me and I smell the scent of his cologne. I lift my head up and notice a poster with the logo of Juventus.
"Wait, you like Juventus?" I ask facing Jace. His pupils widen as I look him in the eyes.
"Like? They are legends" he says with excitement. The fact that we have sports in common makes him more attractive character wise.
"Shut up! I can't believe this. I love them too." I joyfully say.
"Who is your favourite?" he asks.
"He is a striker. Take a guess but you only get one" I tell him.
"Ronaldo?" he unsurely questions.
"Can you read minds?" I laugh at his right answer.
"I feel left out, I'm not going to lie" Ty suddenly speaks.
"Should've played football when I told you to" I joke. I have been playing football since I was six. As much as I wanted Ty to play as well, he chose basketball.
"Shut up" he laughs and we join him. After checking the time I decide to go to my room in order to relax and get ready later.
"I will go now, see you later" I say to my friends.
"Bye" both of them say at the same time and I wave before exiting the room.
