"Oh sorry I wasn't trying to snoop around here. I just got bored down there so I decided to go up and randomly went in here." I clarify.

"Don't worry, you're good." he says with a smirk and takes a few steps forward in my direction. "Have you ever read it?" he asks pointing at the book with the cup in his hand.

"How could I not?" I say and close the book. I put it back on the shelf, exactly where I took it from. It was when I took a look at the entire row that I noticed that the books were in alphabetical order, just like in a library.

"They're in order as well." I say and he notices the surprise on my face.

"But of course." he says and takes the last sip out of his cup. "You can have whichever you want." he adds.

"Seriously?" I say with excitement in my voice.

"Sure, take whatever you want and how many you want, I've read most of them." he offers.

So he has almost read them all. Did not expect that to come from the most popular guy on campus.

After looking for a few seconds, my eyes catch on the "Dracula" and I take it out of the shelf. "Can I have this?" I turn around to face him.

"Take it." he answers and puts the glass down on the bedside table.

"That is very nice of you, thanks. I'll return it to you right after I'm done reading." I say.

"There is no need." he replies. "Are you alone here?" he throws in the question.

"No, I came with a friend, Amy. I think you guys know each other, right?" I say.

"Hall?" he asks and I nod. "Yeah yeah I know her." he answers.

After a quick moment of silence he offers to go down because he noticed how the music got louder and I agreed to go with him.

Right there I saw Amy dancing on top of a table, people stood around it, hyping her up.

"Jesus Christ" I whispered to myself. One more turn and she is falling down from that. "I need to get her down from there before she falls down on her face" I say and Asher looks at Amy before looking at me again.

"I'll help you" he offers and we make our way straight to the table.

I take her by her hand to make sure she doesn't lose balance and Asher takes the bottle of champagne out of her other hand and puts it aside. On the count of three him and I grab Amy by her leg and put her down, while supporting her back with our arms.

I thank Asher for his help and tell him that I can take care of her on my own for now. He leaves and I lead my best friend to the guest room where I find a sofa to sit her down.

"Are you alright?" I ask her and she closes her eyes and leans her head back.

"Why did you bring me here? I was having so much fun and you took it away from me" she crosses her arms on her chest, jutting her lips like a little child.

"You didn't look like you were gonna dance much longer on that table, honey" I respond.

"Liar!" she says with a slightly louder tone. I choose to ignore it because I know just how drunk she is.

"I'm gonna need you to stay here so I can get you some water, alright?" I ask and wait for her response. She simply nods her head and assures me that I can leave.

I head to the kitchen and pass by the people dancing there so I can get to the fridge. I open it and grab a cold bottle of water which I open on the way back to the guest room.

As I enter the room, my eyes start searching for my best friend but she is not to be seen on the sofa where I left her. I start looking around the room with a slight bit of worry but have no luck spotting her.

Where did she go? It literally took me no more than a minute to get water. Is she this impatient?

"Excuse me, did you see where that girl over there went?" I ask a couple that is sitting on the armchair next to where I stand. They shake their head as a response and I drop the water bottle on the ground before quickly exiting the place.

Without realizing it, I start walking a little faster that I tend to and bump into Asher on the way who spills a bit of the drink out of his glass.

"Sorry" I say quickly before asking him if he had seen Amy.

"Yeah, some girl just came here and picked her up." he says and I panic at first but then think that maybe it is some friend. However, it is still very strange that Amy left a party without notifying me. I know her well enough to know that no matter how drunk she may be, she would never leave without telling.

"Did you see who it was?" I ask as if I that would help me find her right now.

"It was some red headed girl, 'bout this tall." he lifts up his hand to show me her height.

I thank him and push myself through the crowd towards the door and leave the house immediately. Before starting the engine I start thinking about the description that Asher gave me.

Fuck. Sara. He was describing Sara Roberts.

Fuck.

Without wasting another second, I start the engine and don't even think about putting the seatbelt on. At that moment I was speeding without realizing, not even knowing where I was going to or if the direction that I was driving towards was the right one.

Suddenly my phone rings and without taking my eyes of the road, I grab my phone off the passenger seat and bring it to my ear, not knowing who the call was from.

"Hello?" I ask with panic in my voice.

"Hi Belly" I hear a high pitched, manipulative voice on the other end of the line and recognize without a hesitation.

Anger in me rises as I hear Sara's words and her ugly nickname for me, which she knows that I despise "You..."

"Nah uh, you don't wanna be the one that's gonna do the talking now." she threatens. "You see honey, I was just looking for a party to join and that's when I went by this beautiful house and decided to see what all the loud music was about and that is when I stumbled across your lovely best friend, Amy. We had a little chat, you know a quick catch up, cause we hadn't seen each other in a while. And so I decided to take her on a little trip with me." she explains and I can't believe the words that im hearing.

"Sara, if you lay a hand on her, I swear to God.."

"Yeah, yeah I know, you'll have your rich daddy divorce my mom and put me in jail. Listen, I don't think that will be possible though." she says and zones out and in that moment of silence I hear Amy's whining.

"Have you fucking tied her up?" I yell as I pass a red light.

"I don't know. Have I? Listen, so you know how drugs are expensive? These motherfuckers are selling a gram of crack for almost 200 pounds now." she utters and lets out a laugh. "Like I almost have to sell a kidney to afford some. Crazy right?"

The second after she says this I almost cause an accident but thankfully hit the breaks quick enough and damage nothing but my tires, of which the screeching deafened me.

"Listen honey, you have six hours to get me 50.000 pounds or else your bestie here will be hungover in her grave. I will text you the address that you will need to bring the money to. If you even think of bringing anything but the money, consider yourself dead. But I know you won't do anything stupid, you're the smart girl that goes to the best college, remember?" Sara asks rhetorically. "50.000 pounds in six hours at the address I will send you. Come alone. I believe in you, Belly." she manages to anger me once again with her words and before I can even say a word, she hangs up the phone.

Without giving it a second thought, I call my dad to tell him that I need the money. Luckily he picks up and I quickly explain him the situation and order him to get it ready by the time I arrive. Feeling the panic through his voice, a shiver runs down my spine and I hang up to finally try to focus on the road before I die trying to save my best friend.
