from first love to worst heartbreak

Chapter 14

After the lesson I immediately take out my phone to look at the time. It is 2 PM but my head hurts like I haven't had a break all day. After thinking about the causes of the ache I text Lana.

*Where are you?* I send hoping she would answer soon. As I tap on the group chat to text the guys, Ty's name appears on the screen. I pick up the call right away.

*Hi, Bel* he greets me. Sometimes he shortens my name to Bel, which is the most adorable thing about him.

*Hello, what's up?* I ask my best friend.

*Nothing much, I thought I would call you and make sure everything is ok* he explains. What I like most about my best friend is. that he always cares for me and feels the need to check on me even if I don't need it sometimes.

*I'm fine, I just have a really bad headache somehow* I say while keeping my eyes on the concrete.

*That's a bummer, you are probably just hungry* he chuckles.

*You know what? I think you're right. I haven't eaten today* I realize.

*Do you want to go grab something?* he asks.

*Yeah about that, I told this girl Lana that I would introduce you guys to her* I explain. *Can we maybe eat somewhere together?* I ask.

*Sure, we would like to get to know her* he says with his joyful voice.

*Ok, then meet us at 2:30 in the diner* I tell him my idea.

*We'll be there* he agrees.

*Thank you sir* I say and hang up the phone.

*I'll be there in 5* I read Lana's message after ending the call. I take a seat on a bench and scroll through Instagram. Fresh wind blows on my face and messes up my hair. After staring at my phone for a couple minutes, I lock it and see my reflection on the black screen. The slightest bit of lipstick I had put on this morning, is completely faded away. I take out my lipstick out of my bag and pull out a little mirror. After taking a detailed look at my face in the small mirror, I apply my lipstick and put it back in my bag.

"Hey" I hear someone from the back. I turn around and see the person I expected it to be.

"Hi" I greet Lana with a smiley face. "We are going to a diner" I say.

"Diner?" she asks with a confused expression on her face.

"Yeah, Jace and Ty are waiting for us there" I explain.

"Wait now?" she questions nervously.

"Yes sir" I respond.

"Oh shit. I look like garbage right now" she panics.

"First of all, you don't. Second, who cares?" I ask.

"Those are two guys I have never seen you see?" she tries to prove her point.

"Lana calm down and let's go. Put on some perfume and you're perfect" I state.

"You're sure?" she asks in denial.

"Yes, now stop whining, you're giving me a headache" I joke and she laughs loudly. She pulls out a perfume out of her bag and sprays some on her neck, blouse and wrist. She hands me the bottle and I put some on my neck. We start stepping in the direction of the diner.

"How do you know where we are going? Have you been there before?" Lana breaks the quick silence.

"I have been there with Ty. We even went to the city on the first day I moved here" I explain and look at her for a quick moment.

"That is great" she says. We walk for five minutes and chat on the way about different topics. A short amount of time passes and we reach the diner. Lana stops in front of the door and looks inside.

"I am nervous" she says and looks at me with a funny expression on her face that makes me chuckle.

"I am not" I act like I don't care and laugh right away. Lana rolls her eyes and giggles. I open the door and we both enter the diner. She looks around the room and glances at every person in the room. I spot my friends on the first glance. They are sitting almost near the bar.

"Let's go" I say to Lana and tap on her arm as she is looking up at the lights. We walk to the table taking fast steps. Jace and Ty immediately stand up as soon as they see us.

"Hello people. This is Lana. I met her today in my economics class" I introduce her to the guys.

"Nice to meet you" she smiles and shake hands with both of them.

"Lana this is Jace and this is Ty" I point to them as I say their name. The boys are sitting near each other, so me and Lana take a seat in front of them. I sit right in front of Jace who is wearing a black shirt. He has unbuttoned the first three buttons and his collarbones are a litte visible. I look at his hands and notice that he is wearing three rings, two on his right hand and one on his left hand. His veins are dark green, pumped and thick on his hands. His hair is a little messy which makes him look even more cute.

"What do you guys want to eat?" Ty asks both of us. I look at Lana at she shrugs her shoulders.

"I really want pizza right now" I say and look at my best friend. "What about you?" I turn my head to Lana and face her.

"I will take a burger" she shyly says. Ty lifts up his arm in order to catch the waiter's attention. The waiter notices him and approaches our table with a pen and a little note book in his hand.

"Welcome. Can I take your order?" he says with a smile on his face.

"Yes, I would like a medium sized pepperoni pizza with a soda" I speak first. He nods and writes it on the paper in his left hand.

"Can I get a hamburger and a coca cola please?" Lana asks politely.

"I'll take a hotdog" Jace orders.

"And large fries for me please" Ty says.

"Would you like anything to drink?" the waiter asks them. They both look at each other not knowing what to say.

"I'll take a sprite" Jace states.

"And water for me" Ty says after him.

"Drinks are coming right up" the waiter says and looks at me.

"Thank you" I say after he turns around and heads to the bar.
