I stand up a little bit late because of my schedule. On my way to my second meeting with a tutor, I see Christina on the hallway and serve her a dirty look. From my experience girls like her would never confess to bad things they do. I have to tell Ty about how I met her in the bathroom and ask him what he is planning to do about her. After my sessions, I head to the library to edit my essay and note down my new idea. I put on my headphones and turn on slowed down songs and focus on my work. A while later, I am almost done with my essay but that is when I am disturbed by a boy that decides to sit in front of me. It is Henry.
"Hi" he greets me. I hope he didn't come to ask me if he could get an explanation for my decision that I made yesterday.
"Hey" I say and put on a rather awkward smile.
"So, listen, about yesterday. I would like to apologise. I'm sorry if it was too soon or too sudden. I didn't mean to cause awkwardness between us" he explains himself. I feel the guilt in his words which make me feel bad because it is not a big deal at all.
"It is ok. You didn't cause anything. Let's just be friends, okay?" I defuse the tension.
"Great" he smiles. I smile back and finish my work with his company. In my free time I text Ty and ask him if I can see him. Soon I am informed that he is in his room, so I make my way to the campus.
"Hello" I greet both of them and enter the room. "Ty, do you know how you were drugged on that party?" I ask.
"Yeah" he briefly says. "Why?" he wonders.
"Aren't you going to do something about it?" I question.
"Like what?" he asks after biting into an apple.
"Like find out who it was and take some action against it" I answer his question.
"And how do I do that?" it sounds like he doesn't care about it.
"Listen, it was Christina. I bet" I feel my patience blowing up. "I saw her yesterday and I confronted her and all she did was deny it. I even told her that I would take legal actions if she doesn't confess to it" I finally let him know.
"What? Why would you do that?" he looks shocked.
"Why would I do what?" I ask for a clarification.
"Confront her" he answers.
"Are you stupid? It was her. God, why won't nobody believe me?" my anger rises as I say this and throw my hands in the air.
"I believe you" Jace smiles.
"Thank you" I sigh. "Listen, I know that Dakota was the one talking to you but it was 100% Christina. She told her to do it. You don't have a problem with Dakota right?" I ask for confirmation.
"Yes, you are right, but I don't have a feud with Christina either" he defends her.
"Let me tell you this, if you don't do something to find out what exactly happened, then I will and if it is her, which she will be, then I will make sure she pays" I state in a harsh tone. "I will not let her get away with this and you know that damn well" I look directly in his eyes. Jace looks lost but Ty looks neutral because he knows me too well and knows that if I promise something, I will do it, no matter what it takes. I stand up and leave the room disappointed. I can't believe my best friend doesn't believe me. The only way I can get him to trust me on this is if I prove my point to him.
Jace's POV
"Dude, are you out of your mind? Why did you upset her?" I snap at my best friend.
"I know, I'm sorry. I will apologise to her. It's just that she doesn't have any proof and I can't just confront Christina without being sure" he defends himself.
"I get it, but at least she is trying to do something. You are just sitting around not even thinking about it. Do you even have any idea how nervous and worried she was when we brought you here?" I try to explain Bella's point of view to him.
"She was?" he shamelessly asks in disbelief as if Bella doesn't care for him.
"Of course she was. She is your best friend, dude" I argue.
"I will apologise" he lets his cockiness out of this.
"Good" I sigh.
Over this very little amount of time, Bella has become a very important person to me and I believe her, no matter what. I have to let her know, that I am on her side, so she has a person to trust.
"Give me a reason why it could have been Chris" he interrupts my thoughts.
"Maybe she didn't even want to drug you. Maybe she wanted to do it to somebody else but the drinks somehow got mixed up and you drank the wrong one" I assume not being sure if it is logical.
"I can't think about it anymore. She could've had so many intentions. How the hell should I know what she really had planned?" he looks confused. I can't blame him, this a tough situation which none of us has faced before.
Bella's POV
"I can't fucking believe it. My best friend doesn't fucking believe me" my rage rises and I curse without noticing.
"Calm down, I'm sure he didn't mean it like that" Lana tries to calm me down but it doesn't work.
"Look, I don't need your nice talk right now, Lana. I will prove it to him. I will prove to him, that she is the one behind it" I say aggressively.
"I know you will, now let's go get some ice cream" she cheers me up.
