I enter my room and put my bag down on the floor. The air is warm and stuffy, so I open the window and let the fresh wind enter my room. I change into a sweatshirt and sweatpants and sit on the bed. Suddenly, I receive a text message from Lana.
*Where are you?* she asks.
*In my room, you coming?* I answer and ask a question.
*Yes* she replies.
I organize my room a little bit until a knock on my door intervenes. Lana hugs me and enters the room.
"Finally, I am done with the day" she sighs and I laugh.
"Are you okay?" I ask her.
"Yeah, I'm fine, just a little tired." she answers.
"Do you want something to drink?" I ask as she lies on the bed.
"Yes, fruit tea" she smiles.
"Alright" I say and exit the room to go the kitchen. I make two cups of fruit tea and head back to my room. Lana is still on the bed with her eyes closed.
"Get up" I demand in a funny way. She lifts up her body and I hand her the cup.
"Thank you" she says and I nod with a smile.
"Do you have any plans tonight with the boys?" she asks.
"First of all, it's "we" because you are a part of us now and second, a guy sort of asked me out tonight" I answer.
"Oh my God!" her eyes widen and her mouth opens. "Who is he? Do I know him?" she curiously asks.
"No, it's Henry. I was at his party on Sunday. He is friends with both Jace and Ty." I explain the details.
"So, you have known each other for three days?" she raises her eyebrow.
"Yes. The thing is, I only talked to him twice. I don't know him that well but he seems like a very nice guy" I state.
"What are you going to wear?" she asks.
"Wait, you think I should go?" I ask in denial.
"Of course, who knows what will happen afterward?" she teases and smirks.
"Ew, no, I don't want to date anybody" I say and put on a disgusted face.
"Why not?" she questions.
"I don't want to be wrapped up in drama. Besides, there are so much responsibilities and I have enough already." This makes her laugh.
"You are not wrong" she agrees.
"I am here to study, not to find the love of my life" I tell the truth and make it seem like a joke.
"Wear something cute" she changes the subject.
"Sure, but it is not a date" I tell to make sure she gets it.
"Sure sure" she mocks me and ignores me in a way. After thinking for a little while, I decide to put on a pair of jeans and a dark blue blouse.
"High heels?" she asks.
"I can't walk in them." I admit.
"Are you serious?" she questions as if she didn't hear me.
"I am. I never learned how to nor I tried because I was never interested." I explain.
"We will change that" she orders.
"Fuck no. I hate high heels" I say and make her laugh.
"We will see about that" she challenges me.
"Whoever came up with the idea of high heels should be dead or at least in jail." I say which makes her laugh even louder.
"Stop laughing" I demand and throw a pillow at her.
"I'm sorry, you're just so funny" she continues bursting in laughter.
"I feel like people who make high heels have never seen a normal person's foot before because my foot is certainly not shaped like a fucking triangle" I say and look in her watery eyes.
"I agree." she sighs. "What will I do without you?" she wonders.
"Go hang out with the boys" I come up with the idea.
"Alone? Without you?" she anxiously asks.
"What are you, a baby?" I tease her.
"I feel more comfortable around them when I'm with you" she admits.
"That's because you don't really know them." I explain to calm her down.
"Alright" she agrees. "Have you ever been on a date?" she asks.
"No. I have plenty of guys friends who have asked me out many times but it was a friendly meeting." I answer.
"You have some experience then. You will do just fine." she encourages me with her friendly words.
"I will text the boys and tell them you will come." I change the subject.
"Thank you" she says and shows her gratefulness. I decide to text in the group chat, so both of them are informed.
"Lana will hangout with you guys tonight" I send the message. Minutes later both of them read my message and one replies.
Ty: "You aren't coming?"
"No, Henry asked me to hang out with him tonight" I reply.
Ty: "Alright, have fun"
"Do you have anything planned for tonight?" I ask.
Ty: "You are the idea manager, you should know"
"Okay, I will come up with an idea for you" I respond.
"Why don't you guys go ice skating?" I suggest.
"Without you? No. We have to do it all together." she disagrees.
"Okay" I sigh.
"You know what? We will figure it out. Go have fun." she says.
"If you say so" I tell in defeat.
I fix my makeup and put on my favourite perfume. The tiny drops land on my neck and the scent goes through my skin.
"Where will you two go?" Lana asks.
"I don't know. He said he will just text me when I should head out to meet him outside." I explain.
"I bet it is somewhere cute." she guesses.
"I guess we'll go to a restaurant" I suppose. Seconds later Henry sends me a message.
*Meet me outside in 30 minutes* it says.
"Was that him?" Lana asks as she catches me staring at my phone screen.
"Yes. He said to meet him outside in half an hour." I inform her.
"I should go." she says.
"Go have fun with the boys." I say and she smiles and closes the door. The thought of hanging out with Henry alone makes me a little bit nervous. I wonder what he has planned. Will I enjoy the night or will I regret my decision? I decide to send a text message to my father so he doesn't worry.
*I will be out with a friend tonight* I send. Minutes later he replies wishing me fun. I play my favourite playlist and sing along to kill time. In the meantime, I choose a perfect sneaker that matches my outfit. After checking the time, I realize that I should head out before it is too late. I put on deodorant and perfume for the last time before exiting my room. I grab my phone and a little bag and go out.
