Chapter 5

Peeta POV:

I have to KILL her. THE MUTT.

I grab her arm and pull her out of the bed.

“Peeta, what are you doing? Stop your having another flashback!”

I don’t believe her! She has to be destroyed! I pull her over and slam her against the wall.

“PEETA STOP! YOU CAN’T DO THIS I’M NOT A MUTT! IT’S JUST A FLASHBACK! STAY WITH ME?!?”

Just as I’m about to grab her throat, I hear stay with me, which brings back all the memories.

“What have I done? I’m so sorry Katniss!”

“It’s ok Peeta, I know it’s not your fault.”

I pull her close and hug her as if it was the last time. I hear Katniss’s quiet sobs and I pull her face close to mine.

“Katniss it’s ok you don’t have to cry!”

I wipe the tears off her face gently.

“Peeta, you scared me to death! I thought you were going to kill me!”

“I SO sorry Katniss, next time one of those flashbacks come, I will fight back. It’s just that I can’t control them!”

“I know Peeta, I know.”

We lay back down in bed and I pull Katniss close to me and I don’t dare let go.
