Chapter 9

Peeta’s POV:

I wake up the next morning and I look over at Katniss, who’s still sleeping.

She looks so cute when she sleeps.

I move out of bed carefully, not to wake Katniss and I head into the kitchen and start making breakfast.

Right as I’m making breakfast, I feel a pair of arms slip around my waist and I turn around. 

“Well, hello Katniss,”

“Good morning! What’s for breakfast?”

“Just some blueberry pancakes,”

“Yum. Peeta, I had the best time with you at dinner last night.”

“Me too. I didn’t want it to end, especially when I’m with you.”

We kiss and then we start eating.

When we were finished, I heard a knock on the door.

I walk over and open it to find Haymitch and Effie standing there.

“Hey Katniss come here. We have visitors.”

She comes over and her reaction was priceless.

“Haymitch, Effie what are you doing here?” said Katniss.

“We just wanted to pay you guys a visit,” said Effie.

‘Well, we were only expecting Peeta to be here since it’s his house and then we were going to visit yours, but your already here!” said Haymitch.

“Wait, are you guys dating?” said Haymitch and Effie, looking at our hands that are being held together.

“Yeah and we couldn’t be happier,” Katniss said and we kiss sweetly.

“Uh, I didn’t come here to see that,” said Haymitch.

“Well I think it’s sweet,” said Effie, “you two make an amazing couple. Congrats!”

Then Katniss and I both said, “Thanks!”

Then, we all sit in the living room and talk for a while.
