Chapter 26

Peeta’s POV:

Katniss and I head back to our hotel to get ready to go out for dinner.

I put on a black and white tux.

Katniss comes out of the bathroom wearing a blue dress that goes to her knees with white heels.

“Katniss you look beautiful!”

“Not too shabby yourself!”

I peck her lips and then we get into the rental car to the restaurant.

We get there and Katniss’s reaction is priceless. 

“Peeta, this restaurant is amazing!”

“I knew you’d like it!”

We walk up to the server and she leads us to a table. We look at the menus and order.

As we wait for our food, I talk to Katniss.

“You ok?”

“Yeah, I’m fine now that you’ve talked to me!”

She smiles at me and I smile back. I reach across the table and grab her hand.

Our food arrives and we eat.

I ordered some steak and Katniss ordered some soup.

After eating, we leave the restaurant and we drive to the beach to have a night time walk. 

We walk hand in hand as the waves splash by.

“Peeta, thank you for an amazing night!”

“No problem! We still have the rest of the week!”

“I know, but today has already been amazing!”

“I love you!”

“I love you too, Peeta!”

We kiss passionately for about 20 minutes and then we head back to the hotel.
