Chapter 27

Katniss’s POV:

We head back to the hotel and we get ready for bed.

We lay down in bed with my head on Peeta’s chest.

“Goodnight Katniss. I love you.”

“I love you too.”

Peeta kisses my head and his heartbeat lulls me to sleep.

We wake up the next morning with the sun shining through the window and Peeta is sleeping next to me.

“Peeta wake up.”

“Why?”

“It’s getting late.”

He sits up and pecks my lips.

“Well good morning.” says Peeta.

“Good morning!”

We stand up and get dressed and then we eat some breakfast.

After breakfast, we sit on the couch in our room.

“So what’s on the agenda today?” I ask.

“How about the carnival? I think it’s open today.”

“Okay!”

We pack some stuff up and then we walk to the carnival.

“Let’s get some cotton candy!” I say as I drag Peeta by his arm.

“Okay! There’s no need to drag me.”

“Sorry.”

I let go of his hand and we eat some cotton candy.

“Do you want to go on the ferris wheel?” asks Peeta.

“Sure!”

We get on the ferris wheel and Peeta puts his arm around me.

“This is nice.” I say.

“Yeah. Especially with you.”

I look at Peeta and I kiss him hard on the lips.
