Chapter 24

Peeta’s POV:

After we finish packing for our honeymoon at the beach in District 2, we both lay down in bed. 

“Katniss, this has been the best day ever! I love you so much!”

“I love you too!”

I kiss her hard on the lips and she kisses back and then we fall asleep.

The next morning, we wake up early at around 6:00 to get ready to get on the hovercraft to District 2. 

“Do you have everything?” asks Katniss.

“Yes I do. Let’s go my beautiful wife.

She smiles at me as I kiss her softly.

We go outside in the hovercraft and take off.

As we are riding, Katniss lays her head on my shoulder as she drifts to sleep.

“I’ll wake you up when we land.”

“Okay.”

I kiss her head and she falls into a deep sleep.

After about 5 hours, the hovercraft lands into District 2.

We then hop into a rental car we got and drove to the hotel.

Once we get there, we got to the front desk and get our key and go to our room.

Our room is absolutely beautiful! I has a pretty view of the beach across the street.

We unpack and then we get to our bathing suits to go to the beach.

Katniss and I walk hand in hand in the sand. I pick her up and we run into the water.

“Oh my gosh Peeta you got us all wet!”

“Isn’t that the point?”

We laugh and then I carry her out of the water.

I spin her around bridal style in his arms and I kiss her passionately for a long time.

After kissing for about 5 minutes, we are interrupted by a cough. 

I turn around and can’t believe what I see.
