When they left the building Sophie was convinced that from now on everything is going to be alright. That they won't regret their decision for fighting for her because now she helped them find another job. She hoped that would be enough to avoid being used by them. She was really surprised when Levi grabbed her by the edge of her shirt just to smack her against the wall. At first she got afraid because it reminded her of all these times when she was cornered like this by Torren or his friends, but then she realised that boy infront of her had different sparkle in his eyes than those men back in tavern. It wasn't desire, it was anger.

"What the hell, Levi?!" Furlan yelled at him and jumped right in, putting a hand on his friend's arm to pull him away from her, but he didn't do it. The only compromise he made was letting go of her shirt, but he punched a wall near her face, scaring her a bit. Both her and Furlan were shocked by his behaviour. Sophie, because she didn't know him that much yet to know what he was capable of and Furlan because he knew him well enough to know that he usually wasn't so passionate without a reason. He just didn't understand what that reason could possibly be, but he quickly got enlightened.

"Why the fuck did you cut in?" Levi ignored Furlan and asked her directly. "Why did you have to tell him about our past with Reginald?" In that moment she got even more sure that he was driven by his anger, it helped her become less tense and her lips weren't presses into a thin line anymore on contrary to him. It baffled him and that angry sparkle in his eye was replaced with surprised one. He moved away from her even more. Why the hell she's not scared? She should be. Everyone else would be. It was like a puzzle for him and Furlan. They have never before bumped into someone who wouldn't be terrified by Levi's glare. But she wasn't like the others. She's been through a lot. She's seen better and worse than this and she knew exactly what was the worst for her and it definitely wasn't that. It wasn't a scare moment for her, more like a warning to be careful.

"If I didn't cut in he would've thought that you're send from Reginald" she answered calmly which irritated Levi a lot. Furlan on the other hand was impressed, admiring the fact that she was able to talk with him without fear.

"Bullshit" Levi growled. Deep down he knew she was probably right, but for some strange reason he didn't want to admit that she was right.

"No, it's not" she suddenly changed her attitude, reenacting his way of talking which baffled Furlan. "I know that type"

"I bet you did" Levi rolled his eyes, hinting on something she was so ashamed of, but she didn't put down her head nor blushed. No, she stood straight, looking into his eyes in a challenging way. "We know them too, don't act like if you are better than us because you're not" he added, backing away from her, but still keeping the eye contact which was slowly becoming less angry. "We're all bastards of this world, living in a hell" he said and turned so she was facing her back.

"Finally...something I can agree on with you" she said slowly, making him look at her again for a brief moment.

"We should better go and prepare ourselves for the job" Furlan cut in, stopping the conversation that was clearly heading to nowhere. He just waited for a moment when it will seem like the fight is over, so now that the argument seemed to be gone he did it and they both nodded, agreeing with him. They walked all the way back to their home. Levi was walking in the front like a true leader, suddenly he had that need to express who's in charge in their household. Furlan didn't care about that, he eagerly stood hand in hand with Sophie. He liked her, mostly because she was standing up to Levi in a way he never did and it has been only one day since she came into their lives. What will happen in the future? He was really interested in finding out. He hoped that Sophie and Levi will found a common ground, but at the same time he hoped they won't become to fond of each other. It was selfish and out the place to even think about it, but he was charmed  by her. Even though Levi saw Furlan as equal to himself Furlan didn't feel the same and he wanted to protect someone, not only be protected one. When he saw Sophie, so fragile, stuck between those men he felt for the first time that someone needs him. He wanted to protect her even more than he already did, it was a strong instinct that he couldn't make go away.
