Dawn's POV

After a while of walking from the Main Building, we were now at the front gates of what looked like an old, diminished building.

I took a good look at the place and said out loud, "That's too much charm." I know I shouldn't be complaining about this place, but this wasn't what I had in mind.

"Right, right. Please come inside.", said Crowley as he lead me inside the dorm.

Shortly after walking inside, we made our way to what looked like the lounge. The inside looked just as was on the outside: a complete mess.

"Staying here will at least keep you out of the rain. I'm going back to do more research. Make yourself at home.", Crowley told me. "Don't go wandering around the school! Goodbye!"

Once I'm left alone, I did a bit of tidying up so that I can at least move around the area a little better. I tried to clean the dust off the couch just so I could sit down; the dust was so thick that it looked just like snow. "How long was this place not in use for?", I said while coughing in between breaths.

I finally got the couch clean and found the light switch, I sat down and looked out the window to see it was pouring outside.

"This is not the way I wanted to celebrate my birthday....", I said out loud. Watching the downpour made me think about my friends, my family, and my home.

As I was watching the rain, I pulled out the key necklace that was hidden under my outfit. As I was looking at it I spoke to myself, "How in the world did this key take me to a place such as this?"

It was bad enough that I'd ended up being stranded in an all-male magical academy in an alternate world, but to be so far away from my family and friends is what broke my heart the most; they might not even know what happened to me, let alone if I'm alright. 'I just hope I'll find my way back to everyone.', I thought with a bit of sadness as I placed the necklace under my outfit.

Just as I was lost in thought, I heard a familiar voice that made me jump, "Hyiii! It's coming down!"

The moment I turned around, I was shocked to see that it was Grim!

"Gyahaha! You've got this stupid look on your face like a spider being attacked with a water gun!", he exclaimed.

"How did you get back in here!?", I asked with fear, remembering all the trouble caused; the last thing that I wanted was to get into another troubling situation with him. "I thought the headmaster threw you out of here."

"I had no trouble sneaking back into school. Come on, Come on.", he answered. "If you think getting thrown out is gonna make me give up on getting in, you've got another thing coming!"

I felt like I was going to regret asking, but my curiosity got the better of me, "Why do you want to get into this school?"

"That's simple! I'm a genius who is destined to be a great magician!", he answered enthusiastically.

"A great magician?...", I asked.

"I've been waiting for the Ebony Carriage to come to pick me up. But...But..."

"Hmph! The Dark Mirror just doesn't have an eye for this. So that's why I came here on my own.", he finished explaining. "Not letting me in would be a loss for the world, humans just don't get it."

After listening to him, I almost couldn't help but admire his tenacity for getting into this school, despite his actions of almost burning everyone in his way along with burning down the school.

Just then, both Grim and I felt drops falling on us. As I felt the drops, I looked up to see where they are coming from; it was then that I noticed that the roof on this building is so worn down, that it was the cause of all these water droplets falling on us.

"Nyaa! So cold! The roof is leaking!", he said.

As soon as he said that several more drops came along. "Fgyaa! It keeps coming! My adorable ear fire is gonna go out at this rate!"

I realized that if this roof keeps leaking on us, we'll end up getting soaked from the rainfall. "We better get some buckets or we will get soaked.", I said.

"Magic should fix this leak up real quick.", Grim suggested.

That would be a great idea, but I told him that I have no magic.

"....Wha, you can't use magic? Pfft! You're useless!", said Grim.

Even though I love animals, I felt my patience getting thin after what he said. "Why you...", I was about to grab that creature by the throat, but stopped myself and took a deep breath and looked at him with a stern look. "Then help me!", I demanded.

"Huh? Help you?", said Grim. "No way! I'm just a regular monster staying in a rainy place. You better get a can of tuna ready before I do any work."

I have had it with this little monster and was about to snap back when the leaks from the roof kept coming. At this point, I don't care what he thinks of me or what he says; I just needed to find some buckets so I can keep myself from getting wet.

'This day just keeps getting worse and worse.', I thought to myself as I went upstairs to look for buckets with Grim right behind me.
