Chapter 68: Savanaclaw Epilogue

3rd POV

A week passed after the Magical Shift Tournament ended, and Dawn was going to the Savanaclaw Dorm while wearing her PE uniform; Leona asked her to come over regarding a request he had made of her. She hoped she could use her free time to study from the guidebook to learn more about her new charm, but she couldn't find any excuse to say no to him because he was his usual "charming" self. She asked Grim if he wanted to come, but the little monster wanted nothing to do with Leona regarding everything that happened during our investigation, so he stayed back at Ramshackle Dorm with Perry.

Dawn saw Leona and Ruggie waiting at the entrance as she entered the mirror. "Nice to see you here on time, Herbivore.", Leona told her.

"Hello, Leona, Ruggie. How have you both been since the tournament?", asked Dawn.

"Well, the headmaster had us working like crazy as part of our punishment for everything we've done... but it's been OK nonetheless.", Ruggie answered.

"I'm glad to hear that. Did you guys bring the needed items for today?", Dawn asked.

"Yeah, yeah... Everything was already brought to the stadium, and everyone was waiting for us there, so let's get going.", Leona said as he pointed to the Magift Stadium and started walking there.

Once they arrived, Dawn noticed that most of the other Savanaclaw residents were already there, giving her side glances; some were looks of admiration and caution as they heard stories of what she had done to their dorm leader. She also noticed that several other students from the other dorms were present, some of whom she remembered having interacted with during her investigation.

Just then, Trey and another Heartslabyul resident suddenly approached her with warm smiles. "Hi Dawn, it's good to see that you're doing alright after taking a disc to the head.", Trey said as he greeted her. She gave a small smile to him and said, "And I'm glad to see that you're leg has healed nicely after what happened." Dawn noticed the other student next to him; she remembered him from the infirmary and said, "Hi, how was your injury?" 

"I'm doing much better now. Thank you for asking, Miss Baldwin.", he told her as he blushed; he was secretly glad she remembered him.

"My word. The Ramshackle Dorm Leader is here!?" As Dawn turned and saw the student, she felt herself flinch, recognizing the same Pomfiore student she had met before and recalling their previous encounter. He suddenly approached and asked, "Please tell me, have you taken to heart the wisdom of how proper products can enhance your beauty?"

"Well... I...", Dawn tried to say something as she backed away from him carefully, but then...

"Oooff.", she suddenly heard as she felt herself bumping into someone from the back.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't see you behind me.", said Dawn as she turned around and gave an apologetic bow to the person she bumped into. As she stood up, her eyes widened as she recognized that the person she collided with was Jamil Viper from Scarabia. As he turned to face her, Jamil's eyes went wide as well, as he also remembered her from when she ran into him back at the Library and when she talked to him about his injury. He gave her a small smile and said, "It's alright. No harm was done." He felt his heart racing unusually fast as he stared at the girl talking to him; he was secretly glad to see her again and that she was talking to him. Dawn felt pleased that she could see Jamil again, although she wished she could stop bumping into him like this. "That's good. How's your injury? Has it been healing properly?", she asked him. But before Jamil could answer her question...

"Hey, everyone. Listen up, since I don't want to repeat anything.", Leona called out as he caught everyone's attention as Ruggie brought over buckets full of long sticks and balls that were almost the size of grapefruits; he then motioned to Dawn to tell her to come over where he is. Like this, she gave Jamil a brief goodbye and walked to where Leona and Ruggie were; Jamil mentally cursed Leona for interrupting his chance to talk to the girl.
