Chapter 12

Y/n's POV

Everyone was watching papa as he picked up a stick of meat and ate it. "It's good!" Papa cheered. Everyone stopped panicking and continued to cook food. I was sitting with Rigurd as we talked to the ogres who attacked us. "Orcs attacked our village." The ogre leader said. Kaijin spit out his drink as he looked at the leader. "Are you serious? I can't believe that." Kaijin said. I took a sip from my mug and ate some cooked fish. "What's she drinking?" The older ogre asked.

"She's drinking some juice made from the fruits around here." Rigur said, backing me up. They continued talking about orcs before papa walked over to talk to the ogre leader. While he was talking to the leader, the pink hair ogre came over and started petting me. I leaned into her hand before letting out a soft purr. "You're so cute. Where have you been all my life?" She asked. After a few minutes of her petting me, I fell asleep in her lap.

Rimuru's POV

I watched as Y/n fell asleep in the ogre princess' lap. I smiled at them while I listened to the ogre leader talk about what was going on. "What's your next step?" I asked. 

"Once we've had time to regroup, we're going back for revenge." The leader said.

"Do you know where the orcs are?" I asked. The leader gasped but said nothing about if he knew where the orcs were. "You do not know, do you?" I said. He said nothing again and took a drink from his mug. "How about I make a suggestion, why don't you guys serve me? I can't offer you much, but I can give you food, clothing, and housing. If you were to get in a fight as well, I'd back you guys up." I said. The leader thought about it for a second. "Can I take some time to think about it?" He asked. I nodded and headed back to the grills to get some more food for myself. I continued eating until everyone started heading to their houses to sleep. The Orge princess came up to me holding a sleeping Y/n. "I'm sorry she just stayed asleep after I started petting her." She said. 

"It's fine, she recently lost her mom and being around you probably is helping her." I said. She was about to hand her to me but I shook my head. "Please look after her for the night." I said. She nodded and adjusted Y/n so she was leaning her head on the princess' shoulder. Y/n smiled in her sleep as the princess walked to the tent we let the orges use. I headed to my tent and laid down closing my eyes still not falling asleep. When morning came the ogre leader came to my tent. "Lord Rimuru may I come in?" He asked.

"Sure." I said. He walked in and looked a little upset. "The ogres are a waring clan that being said we're not opposed to serving someone who is powerful." he said. I nodded.  He took a deep breath before kneeling in front of me. "Then I acccept your offer." He said. I turned into my human form and stood on the bed. "Thank you for accepting, now please bring the others in." I said. He left for a minute and brought the other orges back with him. Y/n walked in holding onto the ogre princess' hand. When she walked in she laid down on the bed she had in our tent. "I'll give you all names to mark you as my subordinate." I said.

"Are you sure?" The princess asked. 

"Yeah, it'll just make things easier." I said. The princess tried to oppose it, but her brother stepped in. "We accept." He said. 

"We'll do whatever the young master decides." The older ogre said. I stepped off the bed and got ready to name them before passing out. 

Y/n's POV

I was woken up again by someone shaking me. "Lady Y/n..." Someone said. I slowly opened my eyes to see a panicking ogre princess. I sat up and looked to see papa in sleep mode. "What's going on?" I asked. 

"Lord RImuru named us then ended up like this." She said. I crawled out of bed and gathered up papa before resting him on the bed. "He's fine, he's just in sleep mode because of magicule loss." I said. I rubbed my eyes and looked at everyone. "So what are your names?" I asked. 

"I'm Shuna." The princess said.

"I'm Souei" The stealthy guy said.

"I'm Hakurou" The old guy said.

"I'm Shion." The purple hair ogre said.

"I'm Kurobe." The black hair ogre said.

"I'm Benimaru." THe ogre leader said. I nodded before my stomach growled loudly. "Are you hungry lady Y/n?" Shuna asked. I nodded and rested my hand over my stomach. "How about I make you some food?" She asked.

"Really?" I asked. She smiled and nodded, I grabbed papa and followed Shuna out of the tent. The next few days I spent a lot of time with Shuna while papa was still in sleep mode. I found out that Shion couldn't cook since she tried to make me a meal which I ate a little of before gaining poison resistance. "Shion your food doesn't taste good." I told her. She seemed disappointed about that, before saying that she'd get better. I was talking with Rigurd before I heard Shuna and Shion talking about taking turns holding papa. I walked in to see papa now awake andsitting in Shion's lap. "Morning papa." I said with a smile. All of the kijin walked into the tent to see that papa was awake. Everyone was happy that he was awake. "Hakurou, can you teach me swordsmanship?" I asked. 

"Of course lady Y/n, I've had a few others ask if they could learn as well." Hakurou said. He led me and some of the goblin riders out to a clearing where we started to learn how to use a sword properly. All of the goblin riders couldn't hit Hakurou, but I managed to hit him a couple times. "Have you been taught by someone else lady Y/n?" Hakurou asked.

"Mama taught me before she died." I said.

"She taught you well, but I think it's best if I help you improve." Hakurou said. I nodded and got ready to face Hakurou again.
