Chapter 40

Y/n's POV

"Don't do that Diablo, she's a friend of ours." I said. He looked at me before nodding and letting her go. "Of course." Diablo said. Ramiris flew over to me and hugged my cheek. "Thank you Y/n." She said. I smiled before she flew over to papa. "So sorry to ask, but who is this fairy?" Fuze asked. 

"We sure do. Ramiris is a good friend of Y/n's and I and while she doesn't look it, she is in fact another demon lord." Papa explained. 

"I see. That makes sense." Fuze said. 

"I'll have you know that even though I'm travel sized, I'm still one of the ten great demon lords." Ramiris said. 

"Nice." Fuze said, clearly overwhelmed. 

"Seriously? You could at least act surprised. Are you one of those guys who is just hard to impress?" Ramiris complained.

"No, that's not it, but they already dropped the storm dragon's return on us, so I guess at this point, nothing surprises me anymore." Fuze explained. Everyone looked back at uncle Veldora before nodding in agreement with Fuze. "Come on, the storm dragon? You're not saying Veldora's back? There's no way that's true. I used to be able to take him out with one punch. If you want my opinion, no one should be afraid of that loser. If you want someone to fear and worship, I'm available." Ramiris said, punching the air. Ramiris started laughing before papa grabbed her and carried her over to uncle Veldora where he set her on his chest. "Veldora? Sorry to bug you, but can you watch this girl for a while?" Papa asked.

"Wait... Veldora?" Ramiris asked, before looking at uncle Veldora. As soon as she looked at him, Ramiris passed out. I smiled and quietly giggled about it. "You kids play nice now." Papa said, walking away. Papa started explaining the strategy that they came up with to deal with Falmuth and the western holy church. As they were explaining the plan I snuck over to where uncle Veldora was laying down and sat by him. I grabbed one of the manga books that papa had made for uncle Veldora and started reading it to pass the time. "Y/n..." Papa said. I blinked and looked up to see papa looking at me. "Come on let's go to the hot springs and get some dinner." Papa said.

"Is it that late already?" I asked. 

"Yeah, you managed to read an entire series of manga and missed out on Ramiris telling me her warning." Papa explained. 

"Oh..." I said. 

"It's fine, I wasn't sure if you wanted to come to this anyways. I'm glad you found something to do though." Papa said. I nodded and stood up. "Uncle Veldora is it okay if I borrow this volume?" I asked.

"Of course." Uncle Veldora said.

"Thanks." I said. We started heading towards the hot springs. Treyni and Trya were washing Ramiris off while I enjoyed the hot water of the hot springs. I saw Beretta taking a bath and got a little concerned. "Won't that armor of yours rust?" I asked. 

"No, lady Ramiris has used some spirits to protect my armor." Berreta said.

"That's good. I'll see you at dinner." I said, climbing out of the spring. I grabbed the robe that mama left out for me before heading to the open room where everyone was meeting. There was a spot open right next to papa for me. We sat down as Gobte and some of the other goblians and hobgoblins served dinner. Once it was served I quickly started eating before reading the volume of manga I borrowed from uncle Veldora. Everyone started talking about the prisoners that we had imprisoned. Papa eventually talked about sending Diablo with Youm and his party to reform Falmuth into a kingdom that would work with us. After they finished discussing that they moved onto the topic of dealing with Clayman. Papa summoned Souei to explain what Clayman's army was doing at the moment.

Souei explained who was leading the army before Mjurran explained that he was the strongest of Clayman's men. She went on and explained who the Five Fingers are. They started talking about the army of Clayman's and what they might actually be after before I looked up from my manga. "Papa wouldn't it make sense for a demon lord like this to want to awake?" I asked. 

"You're right, so that means he's aiming for Eurazania." Papa said. 

"What!" The three Beastketeers shouted. 

"It's the only plan that makes sense for Clayman." I said. 

"How did you come up with that?" Phobio asked. 

"Think about it, Clayman's out to prove that he's a real demon lord. The only way to really do that to is to increase his power one way or another." I explained. 

"Picking up some things from the manga you're reading?" Papa asked.

"Yeah, honestly they teach a lot more about the world than most people would think." I said.

"We have to protect the people of the kingdom." Albis said.

"But how?" Suphia asked.

"Well the issue is transporting everyone. If only we could use transport magic." Papa said. I started thinking about the magic that we'd have to use before quickly talking it over with Raphael. She explained everything about the transportation magic and how monsters and majins could make it through with their resistance while humans would need a barrier to make it through safely. The image that Raphael was using showed Youm on top of a magic circle that I hadn't seen before. "Let me guess you've already made a new technique that we can use to to protect people while transporting them." I thought.

"Correct." Raphael said. I just smiled and nodded before looking up at papa who had the same smile on his face. Papa explained the new spell and how he made it before saying that we'd be able to help everyone and send our army to the battle field without any trouble. He asked if everyone trusted him which they all agreed with. I kept reading the manga one volume after another before the visitors left and everyone else stayed behind. I let out a quiet yawn before laying down on my stomach and reading the Manga. My head started bobbing up and down as I kept reading.

Shuna's POV

I was sitting down with Lord Rimuru in my lap thanking us for making it through the meeting. I looked over to see Y/n whose head was bobbing up and down. "Excuse me my lord. Y/n appears to be falling asleep, so I'll take her home." I said.

"It's fine, just let her sleep." Rimuru said.

"Lord Rimuru, she should be on a proper bed." I said. Rimuru sighed and nodded before hopping off my lap and I got up. I walked over to Y/n, seeing that she was sleeping on the manga she was reading. "What a child." I said.

"It's my fault, when I was trying to help her in the cave there wasn't much I could do since I was locked away." Veldora said.

"It's fine, but try not to let too many bad habits of yours pass on to her." I said, picking Y/n up. She still had a tight hold on the book she was reading before I adjusted her on my back. "Let's get you home sweetie." I whispered. I excused myself and carried Y/n to her home and tucked her into bed.
