Chapter 31

Y/n's POV

After we returned from Dwargon, papa and I headed back to Ingrassia to announce the test results for the kids at Freedom Academy. "I will now announce the results of the tests." Papa said. The kids looked at papa anxiously waiting to hear their results. Papa let out a sigh before turning himself into a puddle on the desk. All the kids started getting worried about papa. "Woah, he melted." Chloe said.

"Did we do that bad?" Kenya asked. 

"It turns out all of you... Passed!" Papa shouted, jumping into the air. All the kids sighed before looking at papa. "Don't scare us like that!" Kenya shouted. Papa landed back on the desk and looked at Kenya. "Life's more fun when it has surprises." Papa said.

"Whatever... we passed." Kenya said.

"I never doubted our test-taking abilities." Alice said.

"We'll advance to the next grade." Gale said.

"And we get to stay together." Ryota added.

"Thank goodness." Chloe said.

"You guys were awesome. Now that you've passed the finals, our jobs as your teachers are over." I said.

"Once this term ends, professor Tiss will take over your class and I will head back home to Tempest." Papa said.

"How sad..." Chloe said. 

"Don't worry about it, we still have a few days left and I think we should be sent off with a smile." I said. 

"I'll let you all in on a secret. No matter where we are we'll never forget you." Papa said.

"Thanks teach." Kenya said.

"What about the promise you made?" Alice asked. Papa pllayed dumb and asked about the promise she was talking about. "Don't play dumb, you said if we passed you'd give us more manga." Kenya said.

"I know, I already have every last volume of 'Parasite' ready for you." Papa said. After that we chatted for a bit more before me and papa headed to the teacher's lounge. Miss Tiss was there working on a few things before we walked up to her. "Professor Tiss, the kids are moving up thanks to you." Papa said. 

"Not at all, besides they're the ones who put in all the hard work."

"Regardless, I'm glad we're leaving them in your capabale hands." Papa said. We finished gathering a few things before heading back to class. We took the kids out to the field having one last training session. The kids were still upset that I was easily beating them while papa let them try and beat him. They got closer, but never landed a hit on him. Later that night we made our way back to the restaurant where we first met Mjollmile. Me and the kids were reading at a table while papa and Mjollmile were at the bar. They were talking about something before I saw all the kids looking at me. "What's up?" I asked. 

"Well since you're leaving, we were wondering if we could spend a day with you?" Chloe asked. 

"What would we be doing for the day?" I asked.

"I think we should spend the day looking around town maybe buying a few things in shops maybe?" Alice reccomended.

"I want to pet you some more too." Chloe whispered.

"So you want to pet me?" I asked, turning to Chloe. I watched as a blush crossed her face. "Yes, please." Chloe said. I smiled and scooted closer to her before leaning my head against her shoulder. Chloe started petting me while I heard some of the other kids complain about her getting the chance to pet me. After a while I ended up resting my head on her lap while reading the manga that papa gave everyone. She continued to pet me before I ended up falling asleep on her lap. 

Rimuru's POV

I finished talking with Mjollmile about the security pact and the relationship with Ingrassia before walking over to the table. "Alright kiddos let's head back." I said, before seeing that all but Chloe were asleep. I started waking up some of the kids before seeing Y/n asleep on Chloe's lap. "Want me to take her?" I asked. Chloe shook her head, setting her book down and sitting Y/n up. "Y/n... it's time to get up." Chloe said, shaking Y/n's shoulder. Y/n slowly opened her eyes and looked at Chloe. "Chloe... why'd you wake me up?" Y/n asked, rubbing her eyes. 

"It's time to go." Chloe said. Y/n just nodded and got up before Chloe got up. I gathered up the manga that I made before we headed out, Y/n was being led back to the dorms by Chloe and Alice while I dropped off the manga they were reading before heading to my room. The next day Chloe and Alice asked if they could take Y/n out and be off for the day. I agreed and gave Y/n some money before they headed out.

Y/n's POV

Chloe, Alice and I walked around town finding different stores that each of us wanted to check out. Alice found some clothing stores which I ended up be dragged into and trying on some different clothes. After trying on some different styles of clothes we didn't find any that I liked to buy. Chloe found a few sweets stores and we ended up buying some chocolate before continuing to walk around. The more we walked around town the more we found that piqued our interest. As the sun was starting to set we headed back to the dorms finding papa and the other boys doing some more training. 

I sighed before looking at their injuries. I took some time and bandaged their wounds before they headed back to their dorm rooms to read some manga before someone grabbed my hand. I turned to see an upset Chloe. "Want to pet me still?" I asked. She nodded as I patted her on the head. "Alright, let's head to the dorms." I said. She smiled before Alice walked over to us. "You're not going to leave me out of this." She said. I smiled and nodded grabbing her hand as we walked back to the dorm. I sat down between them and let them start petting me which they enjoyed while I started falling asleep.
