Chapter 14

Rimuru's POV

We continued talking about our next move as Y/n slept in the corner. Souei noticed something as he put his hand to his head for a second. "What's going on?" I asked. He took a second before looking at me. "One of the body doubles has had an encounter." He said. I let out a sigh, thinking that it was another person like 'that guy' that we met earlier. "Please don't tell me it's another weirdo like that man." I said. There was a moment of silence before Souei was ready to talk. "I wouldn't say they're a weirdo, but this encounter is strange. It's a Dryad." He said. I thought about to my previous life and the games I played with Dryads in them. "Aren't those the super hot tree babes you see in video games?" I asked myself. No one reacted to what I said, luckily. "Should I bring them in?" Souei asked. I nodded. "Yeah, go ahead." I said. A light appeared in the middle of the table that eventually turned into a woman in an aqua colored dress. "Greetings, ruler of monsters and all those loyal to him. I am a Dryad caretaker of the forest. You can call me Treyni. I have a request. Please kill the orc lord." Treyni said. I thought about it for a second before looking up at her. "Can you give me a bit to think about it? We need more information." I asked. 

An extra seat was pulled up to the table between Rigurd and Kaijin. Both of them seemed awkward as Treyni sat between them, drinking some tea. "Papa, what was that light?" Y/n asked. I looked behind me to see Y/n standing there with her blanket in her hands. "Sorry, someone teleported in. Maybe you should head home. Ranga can take you there." I said. She shook her head and climbed into the chair next to me. "Rimuru, is that a neko?" Treyni asked. 

"Yes, this is Y/n. She's my daughter." I said. Y/n scooted her chair closer to me and laid her head down on my lap. "Y/n that's not a place to lie down." I said. I heard a sigh from my left, I looked over to see Shuna standing up before taking Y/n from me. "Don't worry lord Rimuru, I'll take her home and have her rest comfortably in a bed." Shuna said. I nodded. "Excuse me." Shuna said, heading out the door. 

Shuna's POV

I carried Y/n to the tent that Lord Rimuru had prepared for me and my brother. I laid her down on my bed and turned to leave. "Mama..." Lady Y/n said. I turned back to see her face full of worry. I sat on the edge of the bed and rested my hand on hers. "I'll be right back." I whispered. I headed back to the capital building and entered the meeting room again. "Welcome back Shuna." Lord Rimuru said. I smiled and nodded. "May I be excused from the rest of this meeting? Lady Y/n is having a nightmare and I think it's best if I'm near by for her." I whispered to him. 

"Of course, thank you for letting me know." Rimuru said. I nodded and bowed before leaving the building. I headed back to the tent only to find Y/n tossing and turning. I laid down in the bed next to her. I pulled her into a hug to keep her from tossing around. She wrapped her arms around me before finally calming down. I watched her sleep until I started feeling tired myself. I closed my eyes and fell asleep. When I woke up the next morning Y/n was smiling in her sleep, I smiled at her and kissed her forehead. I got out of bed and changed my clothes before seeing my brother getting ready to head out. "Brother what was decided at the meeting?" I asked. He explained what lord Rimuru decided to do about the orc army. "So were going to ally with the lizardmen?" I asked.

"That's the plan, Suoei went and spoke with their chieftan and we settled on a plan for us and them." He said. I nodded before hearing a yawn behind us. I looked back to see lady Y/n turning in the bed towards us. "Good she's still asleep, now go, I'll meet up with lord Rimuru and you later." I said. He nodded and headed out to go talk with Rimuru about the alliance. "Mama?" Y/n asked. I looked at her and smiled. "Sorry no, but I'm willing to look after you like you were my daughter." I said. Y/n looked at me and realized who she said that to, I walked over and sat on the edge of the bed. She looked away from me before I rested my hands on her shoulders. "There's no reason to be sad about saying that Y/n." I said. She suddenly hugged me. "I miss mama." She said. 

"I know, how about we go do something fun together." I suggested.

"Like what?" She asked.

"Well what do you like to do?" I asked. She thought for a moment before shaking her head. "I don't know. I'm always with papa doing stuff, I think that's fun." Y/n said. I sighed as I thought that Y/n was having the same childhood that I did. "How about I show you something that makes me happy." I suggested. She nodded. We made our way over to the shop that Rimuru had given me to use. "You find work fun?" Y/n asked. I giggled and led her inside the shop. "No, but I do find it fun to make clothes for people. Why don't we make you a dress?" She asked. I looked at her a little confused. "Okay, let's start with a color for your dress. What's your favorite color?" I asked. She took a moment before looking around. "My favorite color is F/c." Y/n said. I nodded and walked over to her. I started to measure Y/n she giggled as I measured certain areas of her body, mainly her waist and armpits. Once I finished taking her measurements I started to tickle Y/n making her laugh. After that I got her to help me make her dress, once we finished I had her put it on so we could go show Rimuru. "Alright, let's go show lord Rimuru." I said. Y/n nodded and headed outside towards the capital building.
