Y/n's POV
The next day, after meeting with all the people that wanted to meet with us, I ended up sparring with Kumara again. Before having to wake up the day to papa wanting me to join in a meeting as he used Thought Communication to talk to me. I sighed, putting on a casual outfit since I no longer had to wear the kimono that mama made for me when I was meeting people with papa. As I was about to head out, Kumara woke up and tackled me before I left the house. I landed on my chest with Kumara hugging me from behind. "Where are you going, big sis?" Kumara asked.
"Papa asked for me to join a meeting that he's holding." I answered, looking back at her.
"No. You've been in too many meetings and I wanna spend time with you." Kumara complained. She buried her face into my back as I sighed and laid there for a second. "Alright, go get ready and maybe we can either go help some people or find something to do." I said. Kumara cheered as she headed back to her room to get some clothes. I got up, sitting next to the door as I waited for Kumara to come back out. "Y/n, where are you? Shuna's wanting to make sure you're on your way here." Papa asked, using Thought Communication.
"Sorry, but I think I'm getting kidnapped by Kumara to spend more time with her. She's complaining about me not being around her enough and being in too many meetings." I answered.
"Ah, I'll let Shuna know that you're occupied with Kumara. Hopefully, this meeting goes smooth and we'll be done soon enough." Papa explained.
"Thanks." I said, thanking him for covering for me. After I thanked him, Kumara came out dressed in a kimono that mama made for her. "So, what do you want to do today?" I asked.
"I do have one idea if you're willing to come with me." Kumara said. I nodded before opening the door as Kumara grabbed my hand, dragging me towards the forest. As we were wandering around, I watched as Kumara was using some of her skills to keep some of the forest tamed. She was cutting down branches that were growing too close to the path that we had built. "You seem to enjoy gardening." I pointed out. Kumara smiled as she looked back at me. "Yeah, I really do. I've enjoyed it for a long time. To be completely honest, I kind of wish I had something more to take care of. The forest here is so well maintained by you and everyone else in Tempest it makes it hard to find anything to take care of." Kumara explained.
"I guess that makes sense. We have so many people here helping run Tempest. It'd be difficult for anyone to find something particular to take care of." I said, agreeing with her. We continued making our way through the forest, with me joining in on helping tend to the forest alongside Kumara. While we were tending to some sprouts that Rapheal informed me were some flowers, Thought Communication activated again. "Y/n, can you and Kumara come to the meeting room? There's something I'd like to discuss with you two." Papa asked.
"Sure, we'll be there as soon as we can." I answered. I ended the skill before looking at Kumara. "Looks like papa wants us to both go to the meeting for now. Apparently, he wants to talk about something with us." I said. Kumara turned and looked at me, clearly disappointed that we had to go to the meeting. "We'll go there, then see about leaving. That sound good?" I asked. Kumara nodded before walking over to me and grabbing my hand. The two of us walked back to Tempest before heading to the capitol building so we could talk with everyone. I knocked on the door to the meeting room, waiting for someone to say we could enter. "Come on in!" Papa shouted through the door. I opened the door, allowing the two of us to step into the meeting room. Everyone was there looking at us with papa at the end of the table. "Y/n we've had an issue in the dungeon pop up. From the sounds of it, the forest on the 95th floor and has grown all the way up to the 71st floor. On top of that, no boss monsters are spawning in those areas anymore. Got any ideas for what we can do about the forest and boss monsters?" Papa asked. I smiled as I looked down at Kumara.
"I have one for the forest situation. Papa, I recommend Kumara take a position in the dungeon to take care of the forest." I said, smiling at papa. Papa looked at me before looking at Kumara, who I knew I had stunned with my response. "Is that really something you'd be okay with?" Papa asked.
"Yes! I'd love to do it! Developing forests is actually a specialty of mine." Kumara answered, smiling at everyone. After being dismissed, we left the room with a smile. "Looks like you get to do something here in Tempest after all, little sis." I said, patting Kumara on the head. She smiled and nodded as we stood there for a moment. "Wanna go check on it?" I asked. Kumara nodded before the two of us headed to the dungeon.
