Y/n's POV
I woke up to see mommy laying down next to me. "Good morning sweetheart, what do you want to do today?" Mommy asked. I looked at her and thought about what we could do. "Sword training?" I asked. She looked at me, a little worried about me asking that. "Are you sure you want to learn how to use a sword from me?" Mommy asked. I nodded, she let out a sigh and nodded. "Ok, I'll teach you how to use a sword." Mommy said. We sat up and mommy held her stomach before falling forward, taking deep breaths. I watched as she sat up and smiled at me. "Mommy, are you okay?" I asked. She nodded and pulled me into a hug. I returned her hug and felt her hand pet my head, making me feel safe. "Remember, the spirit in my body is still trying to get out." Mommy said. I nodded against her chest before closing my eyes. "Hey, come on, we need to go get you a sword and start your training." Mommy said shaking me gently.
She stood me up and looked at me. "Well, I've got to admit you need to wash your hair at some point." Mommy said. I looked at her, a little confused. "Have you ever had a bath?" Mommy asked. I shook my head and went over to a small closet daddy had built for my clothes. "Is there a river or anything like that nearby?" Mommy asked. I nodded and pulled open the doors to my closet. I reached for some clothes before feeling a hand lay on top of mine. "Let's go to that river or lake before you get dressed." Mommy said. I nodded and grabbed a new set of clothes. "Come on, let's go grab a couple buckets to wash with." Mommy said. She grabbed my hand and led me out of the tent. We walked around for a bit before we found a couple of buckets to use. After we found the buckets, I led mommy to a nearby river. When we got there, she looked around for a bit before leading me to an area with a big bush. "Alright, we'll take a bath over here and get that hair of yours washed." Mommy said.
I took off my pajamas and threw them over a tree branch. Mommy did that same before walking into the water. "Come here, sweetie." Mommy said waving me over to her. I made my way over to her and dipped my foot in the water. I shivered from the cold water before stepping into it. "There you go I know it's cold but you'll get used to it." Mommy said. I nodded, she walked over to where we set our stuff down and grabbed something from there. She walked back over to me and sat in front of me. "Alright, I'm going to use this towel to help you wash up, is that okay?" Mommy asked. I nodded and sat down in the water, she used the towel and washed under my arms and tickled my sides. "Mommy *giggle* that tickles." I said. She smiled and kept washing me with the towel. "Have you ever had a bath?" Mommy asked. I shook my head as she sighed. "What's wrong, mommy?" I asked.
"Nothing, but I think you need to take a bath more often. I'd say you need one either everyday or every other day." Mommy said. I nodded, she grabbed the buckets and filled one with water. "Okay, close your eyes and keep them shut tight." Mommy said. I shut my eyes and felt water get poured on my head. I jumped up knocking back mommy into the water. "Woah calm down it's just a bit of water." Mommy said. I slowly sat back down before feeling mommy use the towel on my face. "Okay, you can open your eyes now." Mommy said. I opened my eyes to see mommy smiling at me. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you that I was going to pour water on you, but now I can clean your hair easily." Mommy said. I nodded and looked at her, she motioned for me to turn around. I turned around as she gently sat me down again, once I was sat down I felt mommy scrubbing my head. "There we go even without soap that's better." Mommy said. She reached my ears and pushed too hard making me pull away from her. "Oh, I'm sorry sweetie I didn't mean to hurt you." Mommy said. I nodded and let her keep going. She gently rubbed my ears and tail before standing me up. "Okay, you're all done." Mommy said. I nodded and turned around to look at her. "Play in the water for a bit then we'll go see about a sword for you." Mommy said.
I nodded and played in the water watching mommy as she did the same stuff to herself that she did to me. "Is there a reason you're watching me sweetie?" Mommy asked.
"No, I just think you're pretty mommy." I said. She walked out of the water and grabbed another towel wrapping it around herself before using one to dry me off. I giggled when she reached my sides, she smiled and moved to my head to dry my hair. She carefully dried my ears before drying my tail. "Alright, you can get dressed now." Mommy said. I ran over to where we had put our clothes and changed into the ones I grabbed earlier. Mommy came over and got dressed, she looked at me before picking me up. "Well before we do any training I think some different attire is a good idea." Mommy said.
"I know the person to help with that." I said. I pointed her to a building that had animal skin hanging outside. "Ok, we'll check there." Mommy said. She walked over to the building and entered. "Ah, what an honor to see you around here Lady Y/n." Garm said.
"Hi Garm." I said waving to him.
"Well what brings you and our guest here today?" Garm asked.
"She's my mommy now." I said.
"I see, welcome in Lady..." Garm started.
"Shizu." Mommy said.
"Well what can I do for the two of you?" Garm asked.
"I'm looking to get her some clothing that will help with sword training and fighting, as well as someone to make a sword for her." Mommy said.
"I can help with the armor, however the sword you'll have to go to Kaijin." Garm said.
"Ok, how long will the armor take?" Mommy asked.
"Between measurements and getting the materials probably a couple of days." Garm said. I looked at mommy as she looked sad about that. "That'll work thank you, how much will it cost?" Mommy asked.
"Nothing, you're daughter helped save my life as well as saved me from working in the mines as a punishment for a trial." Garm said.
"Are you sure?" Mommy asked. Garm nodded, mommy set me down and let Garm measure me. "Alright I've got all the measurements I need, I'll have that order for you in a couple days." Garm said.
"Thank you Garm." I said. He smiled and waved as we left his building. "Okay onto finding you a sword." Mommy said. I pointed to a building which had smoke coming out of it. "You sure do seem to have everything here for adventurers." Mommy said. I smiled and nodded. We made it to the building and entered it. "Ah well if it isn't Lady Y/n, and one of our guests." Kaijin said.
"She's my mommy now." I said.
"I see well welcome to my smithing shop." Kaijin said.
"Thank you, my name is Shizu." I said.
"What can I do for my favorite customers?" Kaijin asked.
"We're in need of a couple swords so my daughter can learn to use them." Mommy said.
"Alright, how about a couple wooden ones?" Kaijin asked.
"Sounds good, but can you also make her a real one as well?" Mommy asked.
"Of course, I should have it ready in a couple days." Kaijin said.
"Okay, thank you." Mommy said.
"Thank you Kaijin." I said.
"You're welcome lady Y/n. Come back anytime." Kaijin said.
Me and mommy left and walked around town running into the other adventurers, mommy and them started talking about their adventure and what they were going to do once they feel their mission is done. After that me and mommy went back to the tent we shared and she told me stories aabout herself. "Okay, now I want to know, do you want to learn a bit of magic and a few skills unique to you?" Mommy asked. I nodded and got excited about it. "Okay, let's learn a few things." Mommy said.
