Chapter 71

Y/n's POV

The next day, everything was back to how it was the day before. Papa and I were sitting at the end of a path while everyone else stood at attention on either side of the path or behind us. Papa sighed as the next group of people were called up to meet with us. "You're just wasting your time." Someone said. I looked up, seeing a minotaur and a horse person were staring each other down. "I'm surprised you had the gall to bring your disgusting face before the demon lords." The horseman said.

"Shut up." The minotaur demanded. They roared at each other, clearly angered by each other. "Hey you, demon lords. You sir, and the little lady. I promise that we'd be a lot more useful than them. If you have the Gozu at your sides, you'd have complete authority over the forest. And if we wipe out these Mezu weaklings, there would be no one species who would dare stand up to us." The minotaur said. I looked at papa who was clearly thinking about something before turning back to the minotaur and the horseman. "You're a fool. The demon lord can see through your lies. Trust me, my lord and lady. Support the Mezu and we'll slaughter the Gozu and once we're finished, no one would ever defy you." The horseman said. Papa released his demon lord presence, scaring off the smaller groups they had with them while the two leaders were standing strong. I was stunned to see two people standing up to papa's demon lord presence. "Stop at once! How dare you behave so insolently in front of our lord and lady! Stand down immediately or I will have to remove you myself." Rigurd shouted, stepping up in front of us. 

"Where does a bureaucrat get off talking to us like that?" The minotaur asked. 

"Some lackey of a demon lord has no business mouthing off to us." The horseman said. Papa stayed quiet before I felt a presence getting close. The presence broke through mama's barrier before I heard mama gasp. "That aura." Souei said.

"What timing. This will be a pain." Benimaru said. Mama came up to papa and I standing at papa's side. "I'm sensing immense energy. Do you think it's a majin?" Mama asked.

"Heh. I was starting to get bored." Shion said.

"Whoever it is, I don't think they want to be friends." Papa responded. I turned back to the minotaur and horseman who had stopped fighting. "What an incredible aura." The horseman said. 

"Hey, demon lord Rimuru, demon lord Y/n. You didn't piss off some other demon lord, did you?" The minotaur asked. Papa shifted in his chair for a second before speaking up. "Let's go!" Papa said. He jumped over the minotaur and the horseman before we started rushing towards the presence we were feeling. When we made it to the streets, we found Gobzo and some of the other knights standing up against some strong majin. "Gobzo!" Papa called. We rushed over to him, seeing other members of the purple numbers laying on the ground. "Lord Rimuru, lady Y/n." Gobzo said. Some of uncle Benimaru's men got taken out in a few punches before sliding to our feet. "Who are you people? How dare you make trouble within demon lord Rimuru and Y/n's domain." Shion asked. There were three guys standing in front of us wearing some type of robes, holding some members in their hands. "Out of my way. I have no interest in fighting small fries. I was gonna kill demon lord Clayman and take his title for myself, but you had to but in and ruin my plans. I won't kill unless I must, but if you get in my way, I won't show you any mercy." The leader said. All three of the men threw the person they were holding to the ground. I looked around, ensuring that none of the men on the ground were gravely wounded. Papa took a step forward before Shion spoke up. "Lord Rimuru, lady Y/n. One moment, allow me to handle this." Shion said. Papa looked at Shion stunned by her asking to handle the three men. "For real? You don't really think you can defeat me, do ya? Dad did mention that demon lord Rimuru and demon lord Y/n had some powerful allies. You know, I bet you'll make for a great warm up." The blonde and blue-haired man said. The three of them were releasing their aura probably hoping to intimidate us. "Don't get greedy, bro. You can have one of the demon lords. Let us take her and the other demon lord on." The blueohaired one said.
