Chapter forty three

I've been up for two hours now , still in this lonely bed . Glancing around this room , surrounded by grey walls . The white curtains drawn close , making the only way light to enter by shinning through the white curtains.
Next to the window is a one meter mirror . On the other side of the room is a grey wooden closet which I presume only contains blankets and robes . In the center of the room hanging there up in the ceiling is an elegant crystal chandelier . There weren't too many furniture in this room since it was a guest bedroom and I haven't had a good night sleep in a long time . Placing my feet on these black marbled floors , I took a deep breath remembering how the past few days have been .

I spent my first day locked up in this room avoiding him making sure that I only went down to the kitchen to get food . I bumped into him the second day in the hallway . He had just arrived from work , I think and I was going to make lunch . The encounter was awkward and tense , neither of us said a word to each other . He just sidestepped me and walked away without even acknowledging me . I could lie and say that this situation isn't affecting me but it does hurt me a lot but I'm trying to look past the pain he has caused me and just focus in getting through the first trimester . I should be focusing on my project that I've been neglecting so much and my career hasn't been my focus these past few weeks . Come to think of it when last did I report to work?

I was letting this man control my life . I was giving him so much power over me . But that's going to change . Starting from today . I wrapped myself in this robe and walked towards the door . Closing the door behind me , I walked to one of the many bathrooms that were near to me . I specifically chose the one with a bathtub because I wanted to relax and soak my body in hot water .

This man and darkness . One would swear it lives within him . What's homey with dark colours ? Nothing it just feeds into your fears and dark thoughts . How is one supposed to relax in such a dark place , surrounded by dark walls ? How ironic because I was trapped in this life now . I opened the window blinds for some light that helped a little. The walls were in a darker shade of brown colour , not to mention the black floors . This room was cold despite the fact that it had the most exquisite designs . Not to mention the elegant white circle tub in the center of the room with black stairs attached to it . The black cabinets on the walls were exquisite with silver handles . On the right side of the room was a small glass table , on it were all kinds of body products but the one that caught my eye was the bottle wash conditioner ; lavender . There was a tug in my chest but I shook it off . So what if he was being considerate ?

Next to the products were neatly rolled white towels . One thing about him , he was clean and he kept his surrounded like he kept himself . Walking over to the table , I take the body wash conditioner and the towel and walk over to the tub . Opening the tab , hot water fills the tub . Closing the tab after the water fills the tub halfway . I untie the knob of the robe and let it pool around my feet . I stepped into the tub and sank down enjoy the feel of hot water on my body . I closed my eyes as I relaxed into the water . I let my body soak as I washed it with my fragrance . Thinking it was certain hands on me rather than my own . I enjoyed the feeling that spread throughout my entire body at the touch of my hands. I brushed peanut and noticed how s/he was growing . Soon my baby . I kept my mind clean and for the first time in ages , I enjoyed the bath . The peace and quiet I had to myself for this moment .

I let the water drain when they became cold . Wrapping myself in a towel and picking up the robe , I returned to my temporary bedroom , cursing when I realized that the only clothes I had were in the other bedroom . His.

I was not keen on the idea of seeing him and having to be in the same room with him and be forced to interact with him but I needed the clothes . Turning around I walked towards the long hall , stopping at the door I made sure that the towel wasn't loose . Taking in a few breaths I pushed the door open , ready to pretend like he wasn't here and preparing myself to hurry up I walked in . The first thing that caught my attention was his scent . It burned my nostrils . Second thing I noticed was the neatly made bed , he was already up . I listened closely to any movements or shuffling in the bathroom but nothing. Not even the shower was running . Letting out a sigh of relief. He wasn't here . I walked over to my side of the bed . I opened the top drawer and took out a pair of matching underwear but changed my mind when I saw something that wasn't there the last time I was here . There was a fresh pack of panties , a different kind of set. The kind I used to wear before any of this happened . I found myself smiling at this gesture . They were even neatly packed together with the rest of the underwears . I picked up the white cotton panty . These were the full panties that covered your entire butt . This one had a pink ribbon on top . Deciding against the bra ,I closed the drawer and opened the second drawer and taking out a white vest . I walked over to the closet and took out black leggings . No to the socks , I wore my morning slippers not caring about my hair I left the room .

Descending the stairs , my ears were greeted by chatting inside the kitchen . He had company . Great but I needed to eat . Thank goodness that being nauseous was not part of my morning sickness . " Lele! " the biggest smile on her face appeared as she dropped her spoon and wiggled herself out of Lonny's lap and ran to me with open arms . I bent down on my knees and met her warm hug . " Hey Princess ." I kissed her forehead .

" You're here!" she exclaimed flashing me her toothless smile . I wondered how she'd look like with her front teeth . " Yes baby , I'm here ."

" Look Penny bathed me and let me wear this princess dress . He even did my hair !" she told me about her morning and her hazel eyes were filled with so much admiration as she spoke about him. I pulled back from her to fully examine her. She wore a pink Rapunzel dress and pink sandals . Looking at her hair , I almost let out a gasps . He braided her hair into two beautiful neat cornrows ponytails and put pink ribbons on the tails . Wow ,I was impressed . My eyes landed to him for a brief second before going back to her. Clearing my throat , " You look so beautiful , Princess like a true princess . Did you say thank you to Penny ?" She blushed as she shook her head before turning to him . " Thank you Penny ." She thanked him wholeheartedly . " It's my pleasure Princess , come finish your food and get your bag ready for school ." his throaty voice answered . " Go finish up Princess." I walked over to the cabinet . Opening it my stomach immediately growled at the sight of all the food . Still early for sweets , I took Pringles , marshmallows and apple juice for Karishma and biscuits , donuts and mango juice for Justin .

Today he wore an all black business suit and matching Italian shoes . I wasn't to spare him my time by taking in his appearance . I liked how he stayed in the shadows today , in his own house but I guess it's my house too .
" When did you guys get here?" I ask Justin who had his face buried in his bowl . " Last night ." he said in a mouthful . I guessing he still didn't know how to address Spencer . He too looked ready for school because he was wearing his school uniform including a tie . That has to be Thompson's doing because the last time I saw Justin in a school uniform , he wasn't wearing a jersey and his shirt was not tucked in let alone wearing a belt . Taking him in now , the shirt is new and tucked in . He wears a tie and a jersey with a black belt . Noticing his shoes are shinning black . He idolized Thompson so much that he was beginning to dress like him . Putting both his dishes and Karishma in the sink he walks over to me for a hug . " It's good to have you back Harley." That small gesture made me smile . He pulls back from the hug and bends to my stomach . " Hey Peanut , you take care of her alright." My heart contracting at this . Karishma also joins in . " Please be a girl ." she asks placing a kiss on my stomach . "Go get your bags guys and meet me in the car ." Spencer suddenly says . Still wasn't warming up to the idea of Peanut .

Both Justin and Karishma disappear from the kitchen leaving me alone with Lonny and Spencer . " Loneil." I begin and he rolls his eyes at me . " Bianca ." I walk over to his side and hug him from behind . " Dude your baby is poking my back ." he wiggles himself out of the hug . "Shut up liar!"

I take the toasted slice from his plate and munch it down , taking in a second one . His hand makes contact with mine , slapping it away . " Hey that's mine !"

" And now it's mine ." taking the entire plate and eating . He grabs a banana in the fruit bowl and peels it open . " So when did you get here ?"

" An hour ago ." he shrugs his shoulders . We were engaged in our small talk that I forgot about Spencer being in the room with us until the children walked in with their bags in hand . Both walking to the table and putting their snacks in the bag . " Bye kids"

Karishma went to Lonny for a hug , " Bye uncle Lolo. "

" Catch up later , my guy ." both him and Justin fist bumped .

"Bye Lele !"

" Take care Harley."

"Bye guys , love you !"

" Love you too !"

" Bye!" Both exclaimed disappearing from the door and Thompson right behind them .
