 I quietly walked down the corridor to the library.

I entered the library. Draco never told me where to meet him. I walked around the large library. Finally, I saw him.

"Hi." I said. 

He turned and smiled. "Hello Y/N. You look very nice today." I felt really embarrassed. I hate when people mention my looks. Even if it's a compliment. I am just so self conscious.

"Umm thanks."

"So, you are probably wondering why I asked you to meet me here." he said.

"Ya I am." He smirked.

"Y/N L/N, will you be my date to the dance?" he asked. Guess I should have seen this coming.

"Um, sure." 

He grinned. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small box. "This is for you." He handed me the box. 

I opened it. Inside was a bracelet. It had green gems and diamonds on it. This must have cost a fortune!! I thought.

"It's an old family heirloom. I hope you like it."

"Draco, I cannot take this."

"Yes you can! It's yours now. Wear it to the dance." I looked at him baffled. He just smiled.

"Draco, I don't even know what to say." I said.

"Just promise you will always wear it. Please?" I nodded my head.

"I will but, I don't want to loo--" all the sudden Draco leaned forward and kissed me. It was soft and light. Not at all what I would expect from him. I just stood there not knowing what to do. He broke the kiss and smiled shyly at me. I felt myself blush.

"I will see you at dinner." He winked at me and left. I looked down at the bracelet. Does look like a Slytherin thing. I closed the box and put it in my pocket. I glanced at the clock on the wall. It was almost time for lunch to end. I decided to head over to the potions classroom.

I got to the classroom a bit early so none was there yet. I walked in and noticed Severus was sitting in his desk.

"Hi Severus." I said. 

He looked over at me and gave me a small smile. "Hi Y/N. How are you?"

 I walked over to his desk. "I am doing ok. I finally got a date to the dance." I laughed. 

The smile he had before had disappeared. "That's nice." He said quietly.

"Ya, and he gave me a family heirloom. It's really pretty but I feel weird wearing something from Slytherin." 

"I bet." He said through gritted teeth. 

He didn't say anything else or seem to want to say anything else so I sat down at  my desk.

All of class he didn't talk to me or even look at me. Was it because I told him I am going to the dance with Draco? Its not like it really means anything. People go to dances with friends all the time and it doesn't mean anything. 

At dinner I sat next to Draco.

"So Y/N, have you got a dress yet?" He asked.

"Ya I did."

"What color is it? I only ask because I want to match so everyone knows you're my girlfriend." Girlfriend?!?!? I thought he was only my date to the dance!

I wanted to say something like "what the fuck I am not your girlfriend." or "I don't want to be your girlfriend." but instead I stupidly said, "Its royal blue." 

 He smiled. "Wonderful."
