I woke up and glanced over at my alarm clock. 6:13. Today I am going to fix everything. The best I can at least. Classes didn't start until 8 so I had a while to do whatever. I quietly got out of bed and got my robes on. Today is going to be hard. I thought. I walked down into the common room to hang out. Harry and Ron were sitting on the couch by the fire. This is my chance. I walked over to them.

"Hey guys." They both stood up.

"Hey." Said Harry. 

I took a deep breath. "Listen, I am really sorry about these past few days. I didn't really mean to be ignoring you guys. I have just been having a lot of stuff going on. I am so sorry." They both gave me a small smile.

"It's alright Y/N." Said Ron. Harry nodded.

"Ya. We understand." Thank god. Harry moved forward and gave me a big hug. When Harry finished giving me a hug, Ron gave me one too. Once Ron pulled back I said,

"Thank you for forgiving me." 

Harry nodded. "Thanks for apologizing. Say, there is still a while until breakfast. Do you want to hang with us for a bit?" I smiled.

"That would be great."

I was walking into the great hall for breakfast. Hanging out with Harry and Ron made me feel less nervous to talk to the others. I knew Emma was going to be the hardest to talk to. I think I should do Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle now. As I was walking over to the Slytherin table I looked at the staff table. Severus was sitting there and staring right back at me. I gave him a small smile. His face stayed cold. Can't blame him I guess. When I got to the Slytherin table I sat down next to Draco. The boys were staring at me as if they couldn't believe I was real. I looked at Goyle.

"Hey Goyle. Listen, I am really sorry about the other day. I didn't mean to yell. I am just stressed out. I am so sorry."

"It's ok." I gave him a small smile. 

I turned to Draco. "I am sorry I caused a scene." 

Draco smiled and linked an arm around me and kissed my head. "Don't worry about it."

That afternoon I had defense against the dark arts with Hermione. I apologized and she forgave me. Halfway through dinner I walked over to the Gryffindor table to Emma.

"Hey Emma, can we go talk in our room?" She rolled her eyes.

"Whatever." She got up and we walked back to our dormitories.

When we got in our room we sat on my bed.

"What?" asked Emma. I could tell she was irritated.

"I am really sorry that I haven't been talking to you lately. I am just going through some stuff right now and-"

"What stuff?"

"Just umm. School stuff." 

She scoffed. "That gives you no excuse to ignore me!" She yelled. "You have nothing going on in your life that is so bad that you would ignore me!"

"Yes there is." I blurted out.

"Oh really? Like what?" I stayed silent. "Like what?" I can't tell her. She would judge me. "That's exactly what I thought." She said angrily. She stood up to leave. I can't let her leave.

"I cut myself" God damn it. My stupid ass mouth.

Emma turned around. "What?" 

I took a deep breath. "I cut myself." I said quietly. She sat down beside me.

"Y/N, does anyone know?" I nodded my head. "Who?"

"Dumbledore and Severus." 

Her eyes widened. "Severus?" I nodded my head. I know why she's so shocked, because most of the students that went to school with Severus hated him. Plus, I have never really talked about him to her. 

 After a few minutes she asked, "How long have you been doing that?" I sighed.

"Since third year."

"Y/N, why didn't you tell me?"

"Because it's embarrassing." 

She hugged me. "Thank you for telling me. But, you need to explain how Severus and Dumbledore know."

"Well, I was serving detention and I need to push up my sleeves. And well, Severus saw. Severus and Dumbledore are very close so I am guessing he told him."

"Did they do anything about it?"

"Well, Sev helped me to get it to stop bleeding once." 

"Why did you just call him Sev?" she deserves to know. She is my best friend after all.... I told her everything that has happened, including some of what Dumbledore said yesterday. "Wait, so you were basically cheating on Draco?"

"In a way, yeah. But not anymore." She nodded. Clearly thinking.

"Well, I will support you either way."

"Wait, you would be ok if I was with Severus?"

"As long as you guys make each other happy."

"I am probably not going to be with him but thank you." I said. The bell rang. Signaling that dinner was over. "I need to go apologize to Sev now. Thank you for being so supportive."

"No problem." She smiled. "Bye."

"Bye." I left the Gryffindor Dormitory and started off to the dungeons.
