The house looked dusty and lived in. There was a huge staircase to my right that let up to the upper levels. The black wood floors had a thin layer of dust over them. The walls in the entryway were grey. The house looked like an abandoned house in muggle horror movies.

"Sorry it's such a mess. I haven't been here since before school began."

I turned around. Severus had shut the door behind us. He walked in front of me and through an opening to the left. I followed him. The entryway was quite small but this room, this room was huge. It had floor to ceiling windows and a bunch of portraits on the wall. Some of them looked faintly like Severus. His family no doubt. It had a black couch and loveseat in the middle of the room. It also had a nice brick fireplace in front of the couch. It had dusty bookshelves lining one of the walls. "This is the living room and through here," He walked through another opening to another room and I followed him. "Is the kitchen." The counters were a black and white marble. There was a small table in there big enough for two people. He pointed to another opening to another room. "That's the dining room. I will show you upstairs now." We walked back through the living room and up the stairs in the entryway.

The upstairs hallway was very narrow. He nodded to his first door on our right. "That's a bathroom but you probably won't use it much because you have a bathroom connected to your room." After passing a few doors he motioned to one on his right. "This is my room." He kept walking. At the end of the hallway he nodded at the door on our left. "This is your room. Your stuff is already in there. I am going downstairs to clean up a bit." He squeezed past me and walked down the stairs. Once he was out of sight I went into my room.

My room was HUGE. The walls were white. The floors were the same black wood that was down stairs. My bed looked about to be a full or queen. It had a dark grey canopy above it. The comforter on the bed was a light grey. It had an assortment of grey, black, and white throw pillows. My trunk was sitting at the end of the bed.

There was an armoire on one of the walls. I opened it. It was empty except for black hangers. There was also a desk underneath the large window facing the front of the house. I noticed a door next to the armoire. I opened it. Inside was a large bathroom. A claw foot bathtub was in the left hand corner. There were two large windows flanking the front and side of the tub. There was also a sink and toilet. I walked out of the bathroom and went over to my trunk. I took out a tshirt, black leggings, and a sweatshirt. I put them on and I hung the rest of my clothes in the armoire. I went to grab my books but something next to them caught my eye. I picked up a black velvet bag and dumped its contents into my palm. It was the ring Severus gave me. I had taken it off once I had gotten back to my dormitory after our fight. Well, it wasn't really a fight. It was just him yelling at me.

I put the ring back into the pouch and put it back in my trunk. I didn't feel like wearing it. I threw myself down on the bed. I laid just staring up at the ceiling for god knows how long when I heard a knock on my door.

"I made lunch." Severus said from the other side of the door. I really didn't want to talk with him right now.

"I am not hungry." I was hungry but I just didn't want to be with him. I heard him scoff then heard him stalk off down the hallway. I felt anger rising up in me. Next time he is a dick to me, I am going to shut him down real quick.

I got up and walked over to my trunk. I took out a piece of parchment and a quill. I sat down at the desk and began writing to Emma.

Dear Emma,

Severus's house is huge. But it's also dark and dusty. Not very homely like. At Least I have a bathroom connected to my room. I skipped lunch because I didn't want to talk to him. We haven't really talked about the 'fight' If you could call it that. It was mostly just him yelling at me. He apologized this morning right after but I guess it's just up to me when I forgive him.
