I walked down the stairs, my trunk hitting each step with a thud.

I twisted the door knob. I didn't even say goodbye to Severus. I don't think I can bear it. The door opened slightly. Severus came barreling out from the other room and slammed the door shut with one hand.

"You are not leaving." He said out of breath.

I looked up at him. "What?"

"I said you're not leaving."

"Yes I am." I grabbed the door knob and pulled. Severus slammed his hand back on the door and held it shut.

"No you're not." He said coldly.

"Severus don't do this." I said begged.

"Do what? Keep you from getting hurt? I refuse to let you go back to your parents."

"Severus, move."

"I can't let you get hurt." He said quietly.

"I won't. I know what I am doing."

"No you don't! Those death eaters are some of the most powerful witches and wizards."

"You think I don't know that? Just move."

"No."

I started to feel caged in. My breathing picked up and my hand subconsciously went to my wand hidden in my pocket. "Let. Me. Go." I said in a low voice.

"I can't."

My fingers wrapped around my wand. "Please move out of the way Severus. This is the last time I will ask." I threatened.

"I will not let you go on a suicide mission." He said. I swiftly pulled my wand out of my pocket and pointed it at him. His eyes widened. "What are you doing?"

"I told you I was done asking for you to move." I said in a low voice.

"Y/N, please listen to me-"

"I don't need to hear you scolding me. I have heard that enough in the two years we dated."

"I am not going to scold you."

"Then what?"

"I am going to beg you to stay with me."

I blinked. "What?" I lowered my wand slightly.

"Y/N please don't leave me. I need you. You," He paused for a moment. "You are my everything. My absolute world. I love you so fucking much. Please don't leave me. I can't lose you." His voice cracked. I noticed his eyes were glossy. My heart shook in my chest.

My wand hung limp at my side. I pocketed it. I took a step toward Severus. Then another one. I reached my hand up and cupped his cheek. He reached his own hand up and placed it on top of mine. "I will always love you Severus." I whispered. I leaned forward and gently pressed my lips to his. I pulled away and looked into his eyes. "That's why I have to do this." I tried to take a step back but he caught my wrist.

"I won't stop you from being a death eater. It's not something I can stop anymore. But please don't leave me. Live here. You will be safe here."

"I can't stay here, Severus. Goodbye." I pulled my wrist out from his grasp and twisted the door knob. I pulled the door open and stepped outside.
