It's the following morning after I spilled everything out to Maria. So far, she's been very....quiet. I don't know if that's good or bad, but she seems to be thinking everything through, which is something she did a lot, so that gives me hope. Although, I didn't tell her anything that would make her mad at me, especially the whole 'I fucked a girl twice already who was my cousin in my past life' thing, because that might make Maria a little pissed at me.

Besides the complicated love triangle that's going on between Maria, Morgan and I, the only thing going on right now is a boring road trip out into a forest. Apparently, there's a cottage near here that Morgan's family would sometimes go to when she was younger, but now it's more like a checkpoint, loudly announcing that we're getting close to her home.

"So why don't we just drive straight to your village?" I question, leaning my head on the passenger's seat window as she's explaining this.

"We can't drive straight there. The fastest way to get there is by boat across a lake, otherwise we're going to have to go the extremely long and hard way. It's basically impossible to drive and truck through the trees and stones that are so tightly packed together, and if we try to hike through it, we might as well slit our own throats because we'll die of exhaustion before we get there." Morgan snaps, seemingly upset.

"Great, what's next? Taking a submarine down to Atlantis?" I ask dryly.

Morgan doesn't respond, but I'm pretty sure she's mad at me, and I'm pretty sure I know what it's about. So, I decide to shut my mouth before she kicks me out of the truck again. Both Maria and Alex are in the back, and Maria hasn't said a word the entire ride here, and Alex has been pretty silent as well, so it's just awkward silence for the next half hour or so.

Finally, a large wooden cottage comes into view, and I'm actually kind of impressed. It looks super comfortable and cozy, and it's pretty damn big. It has two floors, with a balcony on the top floor and large windows stretching across the wall. I wouldn't mind staying here for a while.

"Woah, nice place you got here." Alex comments, echoing my thoughts.

"Yeah, but we haven't used it for a few years, so it's kind of run down." Morgan says apologetically.

"As long as it has an actual bed, I'm sold." Alex says enthusiastically, opening the truck door.

After a moment of hesitation from Maria and I, Morgan says. "Go on in, the key is in the mailbox by the front door. I'll be there soon, but I gotta check on the boat first, and make sure it's still there."

Alex is already out of the truck, and Maria joins her a moment later, but I hesitate again. "Do you want help?" I offer, but it's more of a test to see if she actually is mad at me.

"You don't need two people to make sure a boat is still tied to the dock." She says stoically, not meeting my gaze. So yes, apparently she is mad at me.

"Let me come, I want to talk to you anyway." I plead, trying to get her to look at me.

"Justin," She sighs, finally looking me in the eyes. "there's nothing to talk about."

"Yes there is." I insist, and after a moment of staring each other down, she gives in and starts the truck up again. As she continues through the forest, I add. "You're jealous of Maria, aren't you?"

At first Morgan doesn't say anything, but she finally mutters. "You loved her first, and now she's back. You got your Maria back."

"Yeah, but that doesn't mean that I love you any less." I declare, hoping I sound genuine enough.

"Yeah? Well what about Maria? What does she think about all of this?" She demands.

This is where it starts to get tricky. "Well, honestly, she's been very quiet since I brought her back. I think she's mainly just confused by the whole concept of being in a completely different place. So she's not really ready for a relationship with anyone right now." After I say that, I realize that's probably true. I mean, she got thrown a giant curveball, and now she has to deal with that.

The truck suddenly stops, and I look out the front windshield to see a shoreline a few feet away from us. To the left there's a small dock, with a white boat floating peacefully there. It's probably big enough to fit three or four people on it, but definitely not anymore than five. It's also tied to a post on the dock, so it doesn't appear to be going anywhere any time soon.

"So what happens when she is ready for a relationship? What happens when she's ready to get back in bed with you again? What happens when you're tempted by her body and can't keep your pants on?" Morgan demands, now glaring at me with tears in her eyes.

I have to think fast, because I'm pretty sure that's inevitable, and I would be straight up lying if I say that I'm not thinking about sleeping with Maria again. I could lie, but I'm not very good at it, and Morgan can see right through me anyway.

"Yeah, that's what I thought." She says with a bitter laugh, since I'm apparently taking too long to answer her question.

"Wait!" I shout desperately, putting my hand over hers as she's putting the truck in reverse. I pull it back into park, then look into her warm eyes. "I do love Maria, I'll admit that. But right now, I want you."

Before Morgan can react, I lean forward and slam my lips onto hers. At first she resists, as if trying not to give into me, but I unbuckle both our seatbelts and manage to slide her over onto my lap. In the process, our kiss breaks, and I hear her mutter something like 'fuck it' under her breath. So I feel better now about making out with her, since I'm not forcing myself on her or anything.

We continue having an extremely heated kiss, but at some point I have started migrating down her neck. My hands have also slipped past her hips and into somewhere more interesting. Morgan starts letting out noises, and at this point I don't care anymore. The further we go the warmer the air is around us, and the whiter the windows become. That's probably a good thing though, with both ours pants unzipped, so no perverted spectators could spy on us.

Finally, we finish, and Morgan collapses back into the driver's seat. "You believe me now?" I gasp.

"Yeah." Morgan says with a breathless laugh. "Holy shit, Justin." She runs her hands through her hair then starts the truck up again, even though the windows are still pretty foggy.

Before she drives away, however, I speak again. "Hey," I lightly grab her chin and turn her head towards me. "no matter what happens, I love you. I always have, and I always will."
