I place my sword back in its scabbard, feeling heavily drained out from the practices I've been forcing upon myself.

"Hyung," a sweaty and exhausted Yeonjun jogs up to me with a visible frown on his face.

"I-I need to tell you something..." he pants heavily, having difficulty in breathing after the practice we've just finished.

"Take a moment Yeon, you need it" I chuckle watching the boy nod his head like a toddler. He takes his time, his breathing coming back to normal as he sighs, nibbling on his lips in what seems to be nervousness.

"It's... There was an attack yesterday night" he whispers as if he absolutely needs no one to hear this information and my eyebrows automatically rise high in a questioning manner.

Stepping a little too close than what men are supposed to, the teenager places his hand near my ear and whispers few sentences that make my blood boil with wrath.

"There was an attack at the storehouse yesterday night.... the suspects are the Jung's and the Lee's. There's a rumour that the both of our rivals have joined their hands together and decided to attack us on the most unexpected times. Moreover our highly trusted spy has confirmed that the Jung's are going to have lunch with the Lee's to discuss war plans in this week. Dad told me to deliver this information to you since the mayor is out of the town" he finishes in a fast manner, looking around to see if anyone was overhearing our conversation.

I see red. Hell to with the Lee's. All that family has done till now is harm the nature's balance. First the river, the witches and now us? What does that greedy mayor even want?

My palms enclose into fist so tight that my nails dug into my skin and blood drips down.

It's a good thing y/n is here, with me or else that bastard would have used her powers for his own selfish needs.

The Jung's.

Ah, the Jung's. They have the audacity to go beyond out impact and join hands with our enemy.

"H-hyung" the shorter male stutters, probably watching the veins in my arms becoming more prominent with each second I'm thinking of those two families.

"Yeah, I'm going to discuss it with Namjoon hyung" I speak in gritted teeth, unable to take the recent information off my head.

"Namjoon hyung? Are you sure?" he asks out of the blue as if telling hyung is something wrong.

"Yeah Yeon. We're family. He has been with me through all my worsts and made me who I am today, it's only fair that I share this piece of information with him, moreover he might have a solution to end this once and for all" I speak, a small smile forming on my lips at the mention of my brother, who's closer than any others in the world to me even though we're not blood-related.

"Yeah, the one who taught you how to play women" the venom in his words doesn't go unnoticed. This has been happening ever since he saw hyung sending letters discreetly last winter. Though he later mentioned it that the letter was for his uncle who now stays in some other town.

"Get over with it Yeonjun, it was for his uncle" I make it clear for him to not utter a word more about my brother and make my way out of this field that is now reflecting hot rays because of the midday sun.

"Okay" some uncertainty is laced in his voice but I ignore it, fully aware of his trust issues after his grandmother passed away.

----

"So this is where the attack took place" Namjoon hyung speaks while looking around us to search for any sort of clue that could lead us to find the culprit.
