Two years later
Gakushū smiled politely at the man sitting infront of him. "I'm an only child, so you can expect me to grow up spoiled. I always wondered what it's like to have siblings" his date narrated.
"I have an older sister, she's wonderful. But a real pain in my ass sometimes" Gakushū sighed. The man laughed, his voice so melodious.
Sadly, it wasn't his voice. Gakushū sat there with his smile, but inside he was screaming.
He replaced the man's dark face with a pale one, the man's green eyes with yellow ones. And his curly orange hair with straight red hair. "I wish you were here instead" he thought.
"....ir...sir...sir!" Gakushū was pulled out of his thoughts by his waiter. "Sorry I zoned out! What were you saying?" He looked at the chair where his date was supposed to be only to find it empty. "Your date left two hours ago" his waiter explained.
Gakushū allowed his smile to disappear and he sighed with relief. "Bill please" he took out his wallet.
Gakushū exited the restaurant feeling tired. This was the fifth date already, why does he keep thinking about his ex? His ex who abandoned him, who left without saying a proper good bye or even a damned explanation.
All he got was an "I'm sorry" note and that was that.
"What a hypocrite" he muttered to himself. "He hates apologies, he demands to be given a full explanation and yet he himself apologies without explaining why he did it. Fuck, him". He tried not to think about the red head, his first love.
But how can he stop? When everywhere he goes he is reminded of him. The park, restaurants, the school. He considered leaving the city, or maybe even the country.
But he could never bring himself to. It was almost like, he was waiting for something. Or waiting for someone.
"I'm home" he called.
His roommate Ren popped his head out of the kitchen and waved at him. "Hey man, how did your date go?"
At the sight of Gakushū's tight lips and stiffness Ren deduced it was another failure. He smiled to comfort his friend before returning to his cooking. "This is the fifth one" he said out loud.
"I know" Gakushū went to pour himself an alcoholic drink.
"At least you still have me, bros before hoes am I right?" Ren laughs and patted his friend's back, who only gave him a short smile before downing his cup of alcohol.
Hours later, Gakushū was face down on his bed, forcing himself to go to sleep. But like always, it was pointless.
For the past two years he's racked his brain trying to find a reason why Karma would leave.
Why?
Why?
Why would he leave him?
What did Gakushū do wrong?
Where did it all go wrong?
The strawberry blonde man felt something wet slide down his cheek, upon touching it he felt tears. He laughed coldly.
"Fuck you Akabane" he spat coldly, while looking at his wet fingers.
Unknown to him, Ren was listening from behind the door. The man ran his fingers through his hair in frustration, he didn't know what to do to help his best friend.

His eyes snapped open when the pilot announced that they would be landing in twenty minutes. The handsome man stretched his arms, earning the attention of the ladies sitting across from him, he smirked. "Sorry ladies, I'm gay" he winked at them. There were disappointed groans and mutters of "It's always the hot ones!"
Well, he was actually bisexual, but he had no interest in anyone at the moment.
Except for one certain strawberry blonde man whom he misses dearly.
