Day 13

Karma woke up from a nightmare. He turned on his phone to check the time. It was 1:00am.

The red head wiped the sweat from his forehead, he tried to calm his beating heart.

That nightmare of his, it rattled him, it had him shaking. The red head shook his head, trying to gather his thoughts, calm himself.

He got out of bed, feeling lonely and cold.

Only one person can comfort him, but he's hesitant to reach out to that person for fear of annoying or angering them since it is an unreasonable hour to make a phone call.

And for what? Because he had a nightmare of himself dying alone?

But in the end, Karma found himself in the bathroom, locking the door and pressing his back against it. He slid down and sat on the cold tiled floor, pressing Gakushū's contact.

Gakushū couldn't sleep. He lay in bed, playing with the ring between his fingers, his thoughts full of his precious red head who just a few days ago he thought he would never forgive.

Just a few days of being together again and he's already waist deep in the water of love. How pathetic, he really is so pathetic when it comes to that red head.

There was a loud ringing sound coming from his phone. Gakushū frowned. Who would be calling at this hour?

The strawberry blonde got up from his bed and went to the table where he left his phone charging.

To his surprise, it was Karma. A smile graced his handsome features, and he answered it without hesitation.

"Good morning Karma" he greeted.

"Shū...hey" Karma croaked from the other line. Gakushū frowned at this. What was wrong with his red head?

"Are you alright?"

".....I...no, I me--it's not-" Karma seemed to be having trouble conveying his thoughts into words. "You're not fine aren't you?" Gakushū sighed.

"I'm sorry" Karma gave a husky chuckle from the other line. "It was just a stupid nightmare"

"What was it about?" Gakushū went to the kitchen to make himself some tea. He passed Ren's room, peeking inside he saw the bed was empty. He was momentarily confused but then he remembered receiving a text about Ren staying with Nakamura.

"About me" Karma hesitantly said.

Gakushū pictured Karma with his back pressed against a door, sitting on the floor. He imagined him with one hand on the phone and the other was messing his hair. "And, what happened to you in your nightmare?"

"I died Shū"

Gakushū hung up on him emmediatly.

"Shū? Gakushū?" Karma waited for Gakushū's voice to comfort him, reassure him, say sweet nothings to him.

Maybe even tell him he loves him?

Karma stared at his phone screen blankly, his heart aching painfully. "I shouldn't have bothered him" he said, forcing himself to get up from the cold floor and leave the bathroom.

He returned to his bed, gathering the blankets and wrapping himself in it, comforting himself instead.

His mother had flown on a business trip to Buffalo, New York. And he didn't want to call her because he had a nightmare and Gakushū didn't comfort him.

He's not a child anymore, he's an adult now. He should suck it up, close his eyes, and sleep.

But everytime he closes his eyes he would see himself alone, lying on a coffin, white as a ghost and dead. Fear crept from the darkest part of his mind and he felt terrified.

Then the fear turned to anger and self loathing for himself. Just how pathetic can he get? Gakushū would hate to see him like this, he should get a grip on himself.

Karma laid there, with tears in his eyes, and shaking, clutching his heart that was throbbing painfully. He felt alone. Completely alone.

Tap! tap! tap!

Karma blinked. Did he hear that right?

Tap! Tap! Tap! Tap! Tap!

"Karma" came the muffled voice of his Shū from his window. The red head got up again, and went to the window, pulling back the curtains he was met with the forever handsome face of Asano Gakushū, the love of his life.

"Shū" Karma gasped, opening the window.

Gakushū stepped inside the room. He saw Karma's tearful eyes, and reached a hand, cupping his red head's face. He pressed his lips to Karma's eyes, kissing his tears away. "Let's go to bed" Gakushū said, smiling lovingly at him.

Karma nodded, and got into bed with Gakushū.

"This is probably only just a dream" Karma thought.

"I'm really alone, I'm by myself. No one is in my room with me, I'm just so tired and needy for Gakushū's comfort that I imagined him coming to see me...it's all in my head" he thought, even as he felt Gakushū kiss his forehead affectionately. "This is just a sad, desperate dream"

Well, since this is just a dream, Karma decided to whisper to Gakushū "Aishiteru"
