Kagami was pissed off. He didn't mean for things to go this far, now the police are on the hunt for him! If only that psychopath Valentine had done his job well, had been smart enough to check for cameras around the area. Why the hell didn't that stupid man used a rental car so finding them would have been more difficult?!

And worse of all he had apparently injected his son, a man with internal necrosis who's insides are slowly rotting out with several illegal, deadly substances for reasons he didn't understand! He explicitly instructed Valentine to be delicate with Karma, he needs Karma for his daughter's operation! And what did he do?! He went ahead and locked his son up in a freezer for an entire night.

Kagami needs to cover up his tracks. He needs to fix his mistake. "Should I plead guilty?" He wondered, feeling desperate. "Maybe the punishment for me would be less severe, I didn't mean for any of this to happen!"

"But it already has" came Layla's voice.

He spun around and found his wife standing there at the doorway. The woman eyed their packed bags. "Are you going to be on the run?"

"We will be" Kagami corrected. "We have to leave, do you have our passports? Where's Chiyo-"

"Do you know what I thought when I first met you?" Layla interrupted. "I thought 'this man is so sweet, what a gentleman, is this what it feels like to match wits?' I fell for your kindness to me" she hugged herself. "Never in a million years would I ever think you'd go so low as to abduct your own son, and hire a psychopath to--to perform surgery on him!"

"Layla" Kagami took a step forward but his wife took several steps back.

"What went on inside your head?! Kagami! You stupid, cruel, selfish man!" She sobbed. "You're a match for Chiyo! You could have been a donor! She's your daughter!" She pointed an accusing finger at him. "But what stopped you?! Because you're scared of the surgery going wrong and possibly killing you?! What about our daughter!"

"You don't understand!" Kagami cried.

Layla looked at him in disbelief. "What don't I understand?! I understand perfectly that I was wrong about you! You're a coward, and cruel enough to sacrifice your own son just to save your ass!"

She ran pass him and got her and Chiyo's bag. "I'm leaving and I'm taking Chiyo with me! Deal with your mistake on your own"

"I made one mistake and you're abandoning me?!" Kagami was furious and felt betrayed.

"You've made many mistakes before. Mistakes that I accepted because I loved you" Layla sighed. "But this? This is too far, too low. And I'm tired of always having to put you first before myself and Chiyo" she removed her ring and places it on the table.

She was about to walk pass him but he grabbed her arm. "Don't walk away from me!" Kagami screamed at her face.

Layla yanked her arm away from him and went to the other room to get her daughter.

"Layla!" Kagami followed after her.

"Come here honey" Layla held out her arms and Chiyo went up to her. The woman picked up her daughter, their bags and hurriedly rushed to the door.

"Fucking hell, woman! Come back here!" Kagimi followed them. "We're not done yet!"

"Yes we are!" Layla hid the fear in her voice as she hurriedly ran down the spiral stair case

Kagami ran after her, forcing Layla to run faster, almost tripping on her heels and falling down the stairs, but she managed to steady herself.

"M-mommy! daddy's scary" Chiyo exclaimed, pressing her face against her mother's neck.

"LAYLA!" Kagami sounded angrier, and scarier. Layla hated it when he's like this, he becomes violent. Of course he never once hit her when they fought, but he ends up breaking furniture.

Gakushū drove to the hotel Kagam, Layla and Chiyo were staying at, which was just ten minutes away from their hotel.

His car screeched to a halt when he saw Layla running out of the building, with Kagami hot on their heels.

He was tempted to run him over, but restrained himself. The police will deal with him.

"Gakushū!" Layla breathed with relief when she saw him.

He opened the passenger seat and let her in.

Kagami ran towards them.

"Step on it!" Layla urged.

"Police be damned" Gakushū stepped on the accelerator and

SCREEEEEECH! THUD!

Kagami was ran over. The man's body rolled on the wind shield before falling face first on the road. The man winced from the pain coming from his feet.

Then, Gakushū turned the car around and started driving it towards Kagami again, as if he wanted to run him over a second time.

Kagami forced himself to his feet, ignoring the pain on his left leg, and started half limping half running.

Unknown to Kagami, Gakushū was chasing him to the police station.
