Ren and Rio walked back to the school in awkward silence. Ren felt guilty making Rio wait for him while he tries to get over another woman, but he also felt relieved she understood.

"I'll see you around" Was all Ren could say to her as he entered the building.

The blonde woman was then left standing there alone. For a few moments she just stared at her old school, before turning her back and walking home.

It wasn't like she had anything else to do or anywhere else to go. Rio worked as a wedding planner, and a very successful one. But she took leave because the sight of gowns and organizing weddings somehow made her stomach churn these days.

The woman kicked a pebble, a frown on her lovely face. She told Ren she could wait, but that doesn't mean she wasn't annoyed. Still, she's the one who offered to wait until he got over Nanami, who is she to get upset?

Rio was pulled out of her thoughts when she heard violent coughing and wheezing in an alley. Thinking someone was mugged, she followed the sounds.

To her shock, there was Karma. One hand on the wall, his head hanging low and his bangs covering his eyes. She could faintly smell the scent of blood, and can see red liquid running down his mouth and to his chest.

When Karma noticed her, he gave her a guilty smile. "H-hey Rio! *Cough* how long...have-" the red head swayed a bit, one hand clutched his stomach tightly. "Holy fucking shit Karma!" Rio rushed up towards her friend and placed both of her hands on his shoulders to steady him.

She checked his body for injuries, only to come up with nothing. "What the hell happened to you?! What is happening to you?! " There was panic in her voice, and fear in her eyes. Karma's vision was blurring and he was starting to see double.

The red head leaned against his friend. "I..I left my pills at home" he coughed, laughing as if he found the situation funny. "But there's a syringe in my pocket..fuck...I can't move my hand from my stomach because it hurts so damn much "

Rio searched Karma's pockets in a panic, and pulled out the syringe from his right jacket pocket. The suspicious looking blue liquid inside made her hesitate, but the cries of pain Karma made erased all hesitation.

But in her panic, she stabbed the syringe in his thigh, causing Karma to scream in pain. It was surprising no one came to check out the noise they were making yet. "Shit--Fuck! Not there! Inject it in my chest and arm!" Karma reprimanded.

"Sorry!" Rio pulled out the syringe and injected it to his arm, and then to his chest.

Moments later, Karma started calming down.

The two sat on the dirty floor, Rio rubbing his back, and Karma calming his breathing. Once he's completely calmed down he chuckled. "Well....that was terrifying!" He laughed. "I really thought, I was going to die! Haha!"

SLAP!

"OWE! what the hell?!" Karma rubbed his cheek.

"Why the fuck are you laughing after what just happened?! I thought you were going to DIE!! Fucking moron!" Rio screamed, aggressively shaking him. Karma frowned, and removed her hands from his shoulders. "What do you expect me to do? Cry? Scream? Panic?"

Rio glared at Karma, before softening her expression. She pulled on her hair and asked "What's happening to you?"

She took out a handkerchief from her purse and wipes the blood from Karma's mouth and the ones on his shirt.

"Obviously I'm sick"

"I can see that. But what's the illness? Is it curable? Terminal? Tell me something!"

"That information is reserved for Gakushū to know about first"

"Don't you think we have a right to know too?" Came a cold voice.

When the two looked behind them they saw Itona with a dark expression. His hands balled to fists and he appeared to be shaking. Karma blinked. "Itona, how long have you been standing there?"

"Long enough to hear bits and pieces but I already put two and two together" Itona approached them. He knelt down and started wiping the leftover blood on Karma. "Gakushū may be the love of your life, but we're your friends. More then that, E-class gave us a bond and we're practically family"

Karma looked even more guilty.

"Your family deserves to know" Itona stated.

"Alright. But what I'm about to tell you, needs to stay between us, got it?"

Itona and Rio nodded.

Karma still looked hesitant, but eventually he started talking again"It started a couple of months before Gakushū's proposal"
