Just as both Fred and Maddie had hoped for, the second trimester so far had been way easier than the first one. The winter and holiday ambiance had already taken over Diagon Alley and Madeleine was absolutely loving it. Snowflakes falling all day long, twinkling lights and Christmas decorations had been placed on every shop and for the first time in her life, she didn't mind the annoying carols being sung everywhere. The café was decorated beautifully, resembling a winter wonderland, different from the explosion of bright colors that adorned the joke shop. The beauty of the winter time according to Madeleine, was that the days were so much shorter and considering that the first trimester symptom that had stuck was fatigue, she was partially grateful for those shorter days.

It was the second week of December, which meant that she was starting her fifth month of pregnancy and despite Morgan saying that everything was perfect on the previous week's appointement, Madeleine was beginning to worry since she hadn't felt any kicks from the babies yet. The sonogram they had gotten the week prior, showed both babies sucking their thumb so the healer said it was only a matter of time before Maddie could felt them move. She was in the midst of taking a customer's order when she finally felt that first flutter in one side of her belly, followed by another one on the upper side of it.

"Oh my god!" she laughed as she felt it again, completely forgetting the presence of the customers lined up.

"Madeleine are you alright?" Larissa asked when the blonde squealed again.

"Are you hurt?" Emily inquired and took Madeleine's place behind the register.

"Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!" Maddie said happily and summoned her coat, scarf and hat from her office before walking as fast as her legs allowed her to the entrance. "I'll be back!"

She walked rapidly all the way up to Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, which was crowded with chirping children and their parents running behind them. She pushed past many of the people who were in line and stormed into the twins' office, where George was apparently working in a new product. "GEORGE WHERE IS MY HUSBAND?" she shouted.

"Why are you yelling?" George groaned. "It's so early and I'm hangover-"

"ANSWER NOW!"

"He's at Hogsmeade checking the final details before opening," he hissed.

"I LOVE YOU THANK YOU!" she gave him a tight hug.

"Why do you need him?" he said worriedly. "Are you and the babies okay?"

"NO TIME TO EXPLAIN!" she yelled as she left the office.

"Stop yelling, my head is about to explode!" he yelled back.

The amount of happiness Madeleine was feeling was undescribable as she ran down the snowy streets of Hogsmeade Village, the adrenaline of feeling her babies kick for the first time being what gave her the ability to run for the first time in months. She threw the doors open of the old Zonko's joke shop that looked unrecognizable since it was now the second premise of WWW and ran past the workers who looked at her oddly, and laughing tackled Fred into a hug, the latter who was talking to the contractor and who was completely caugh by surprise.

"Mads-"

"Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god," she panted and used his arm as support after the adrenaline shock had run out and her heart began burning and her vision became fuzzy.

"This is a surprise," Fred chuckled and kissed her forehead, "and don't get me wrong, I love that you're here but I don't love the fact that you're apparating and running while eighteen weeks pregnant with my kids-"
