The following morning Madeleine woke up with the worst hangover she had ever experienced in her entire eighteen years of life. After Fred and her had been together in the broom cupboard everything seemed like a blur. She had the faint memory that she had slept in his arms but couldn't really remember if they had made up properly or not. She stood up from the bed groaning and saw that she was the only person in the room which worked for her since she felt the need to throw up again. "I'm never drinking again" she said to her reflection in the bathroom's mirror and jumped when a chuckle resounded through the small bathroom.

"I'd like to see that, bet you can't go at least two weeks without having a drink" Fred smirked and handed her a cup of steaming hot black coffee along with a  hangover cure potion vial. She smiled thankfully and downed the potion first before settling back on his bed to sip on her coffee calmly.

"I'm sorry" he sat on the bed next to her and looked into her eyes.

"What?"

"Well since you're sober now I don't think that you remember our talk last night so I'm apologizing to sober you" Fred sighed and took her free hand into his. "I'm sorry that I slept with Johnson and I'm sorry that I kept sleeping with her to hurt you and I'm sorry for calling you all those names and if you want to be with Pucey that's fine but please don't shut me out Mads, I don't think I could ever deal with you leaving me again."

"I'm sorry too I guess I-" she began but he interrupted her.

"I started it, you don't have to apologize for balancing things out"

"I do Fred because I slept with Pucey out of pettiness which wasn't really fair to him nor to you, and if I'm being honest and I know that it makes me a terrible person I was always thinking of you and I'm sorry for keep on doing it to spite you even more"

"If we're in the honesty thing, I didn't like how it felt with Johnson. It felt different, too different in every way and don't get me wrong she's pretty and all, a little bitchy but she's not you." he smiled making her heart flutter.  "So we're good?"

"We're good, no one could compare to you either Freddie" Maddie smiled back.

"I know that it's too soon and everything's still fresh but-" he said shyly, playing with the ring he had given her a year ago.

"Yes you can kiss me you big moron" she grinned and moved closer so that their noses were pressed together softly.

"How did you know that's what I would ask?" he whispered and cupped her cheek with his hand.

"Because I know you like no else does" she laughed and got lost in his chocolate brown eyes.

"Touché" he beamed and connected his lips with hers slowly. The kiss was slow and gentle, there was no more anger and it felt different to her. It felt like it meant something but she pushed that thought away.

"Sorry I've also been a petty mind controlling manipulative bitch" she pulled away from the kiss panting with her forehead pressed against his.

"I still like you even though you're a petty mind controlling manipulative bitch but I would appreciate if you could take out everything you shoved in my brain because I haven't slept in three weeks." he chortled.

"Seems fair" she said and in a blink of an eye Fred's head was free from everything she had stuck in his head. "I'm leaving Johnson's for a while though, she's said some pretty nasty stuff and I feel her lesson nees to sink in a bit deeper" Maddie shrugged and wrapped her arms around him.

As the holiday month arrived, so did the peace among the group of friends. The two of them apoplogized to Lee, George, Liz and Alicia for acting like prats and dragging them into something they should've handled maturely on their own. Alicia was spending more time with Davis and every single time she returned from being with him she sighed dreamily and her behavior became less sarcastic than her natural self.
