"British accent?" He asked
"Ever since I was born. But I know what you mean. Half of the people here are American. Been here for 4 years and its like I've been here for my whole life." I let a fake smile spread across my face.
My best friend is still in the UK. I had an argument with her and I haven't spoken to her for 3 years.
I guess I can't call her my best friend anymore but I wish I could, we had one of those friendships where we just got each other. We could mess around. Say things at each other but we wouldn't even care.
It was all my fault what happened and I can never take it back.
"You sound normal as well! British?" I asked. I looked at him for a few seconds so I could completely study him. He had light brown hair with dark brown eyes. His hair was spiked up at the front. He wore a black suit, white shirt and a black tie.
"My whole life." He replied.
There was silence for a while, I wanted to keep talking but all I could see was my sister still dancing with her biggest mistake.
"Which side are you on?" He finally broke the silence.
"Huh?"
"Are you on the grooms or the brides side?" He asked.
"Oh, I'm on the brides side. Infact, I'm her sister. You?"
"Grooms. My mums his mums best friend. I saw loads of him before he left with your sister. He always used to pick on me even though he's only two years older than me!"
"He's 26 right?" I asked.
"Yes. Your sis is 25 right?"
"Yes. To young for marriage. You must be 24 then?"
"Oh, she's good at maths."
"Oh shut up." I punched his arm. "Well I'm 23!"
"She's a big girl!"
"She's more mature than you!" I laughed.
"That was good." He pointed his finger at me, laughing.
"Well-" I laughed but then I was cut off by my sister as she pulled me on to the dance floor. "H/N STOP! What are you doing!" I screamed.
"You're going to dance with your big sister! Who is the bride!"
She began to sway my hands back and forth but I couldn't help but notice the never ending gaze of the boy with light brown hair.
