Kaya sat down on one of the chairs in front of a large mirror with bright lights in its border as I pulled one up next to her.We talked and talked as a woman went around Kayas face with brushes and different types of make up. She was going for a natural look.
Then the woman began on her hair making it look scruffy and messy. It was so funny.
Like the way me and my best friend were.
But I only knew Kaya for a few minutes and it felt like it had been years.I missed my best friend... Maybe Kaya can heal the hole in my heart.
Soon Kayas makeup artist was done "thanks Anne." Kaya smiled. And her make up artist - Anne - smiled back and walked away.
Kaya spun her chair round and faced me.
I felt a sudden change of subject and attitude that became very serious."Y/N?" Kaya said.
"Yes?" I replied.
"What happened outside with you and Thomas?" She asked.
"Kaya-" I was shocked by her question.
"Sorry, but it seems he did something bad. And, if you tell I can help! You know shout at him or something." She laughed.
"I...er..." I was about to tell her when someone shouted. 'EVERYONE TO PLACES.'
"Oh that must be Wes. Do this later? I'll help you!" Kaya jumped of her chair, grabbed my wrist and led me to the set. She got me a chair and I sat down.
"Kaya?" An older man came up to us.
"Oh, hi Wes. This is Y/N, she's with Thomas." Kaya smiled at me, not giving me a title yet.
"Oh hi there." He reached out and shook my hand. "I'm Wes, the director. I guess you can just sit back and watch." He smiled. "Kaya, can we?" Wes reached his hand out and led her away. Kaya smiled and followed him.
I kicked my feet back and forth against the chair. Watching my feet become floppy when it reached the highest point but then tensed up as it went back for another swing.
"Y/N?" I looked up quickly to see Thomas. "Please, let me explain."
"You have nothing to explain about. I know what you think of me." I glared at him.
"Please just let me explain."
"Thomas." I wanted to shout and screamed but I didn't want to make a scene so I made my words sharp and harsh. "I get that you don't want to go out with a girl who's got a broken family and her life isn't working. So, I will be out of your hair soon. Kaya asked me to stay so I will."
"Y/N, please." Thomas begged.
"Don't you have to be somewhere?" I waved my head towards the mats that the rest of the cast were doing cool stunts on.
"I'll see you soon then." Thomas said
"Bye." I replied harshly.
As soon as I was completely alone I felt like my life had completely fell apart.
