We were a little bit late for Melissa but we did have a very late night so I wasn't worried.

We went to a small quiet coffee shop and got some sandwiches.

She was quite a happy soul and quite kind; I think she was just excited to be at a meal with a famous actor and his girlfriend. Oh, and his niece, Hazil had a rant saying how she wanted to come and eat posh sandwiches so she came.

The meal was going smoothly, and I was in fact enjoying it.

It was when I asked a simple question did I want to run out and never look back; "so Melissa, last time we saw you we were in America. Why are you in the UK?" I asked.

"Why?" She said sharply.

"Wow! Calm down! She's just asking you a simple question." Hazil said aggressively.

"Why does she want to know?" Melissa said to Hazil.

"Because she curious! God! Calm down!"

"Shut up you goth!"

"Wow! Melissa!" I jumped in "don't say that. I asked you a simple question, I don't understand what the problem is here?"

"Well why do you want to know?" Melissa questioned.

"Because I'm trying to keep the conversation going."

Melissa sighed and whispered "I'm here for my parents funeral."

Then the air filled and I felt my heart quicken.

"What did you say?" Thomas asked.

"My parents, they died in a car crash. But because they were British and our family is here so I'm not living in America anymore, I'm loving here. " Melissa swallowed hard, obviously trying not to cry.

"Oh I'm so sorry." I said sincerely.

"It's okay, they died on the scene."

"Wait a minute." Hazil spoke up, and I knew what she was going to say.

"Hazil, don't." Thomas knew as well.

"When did this car crash happen?" Hazil asked.

"The day I met these two."

I closed my eyes, this couldn't. They can't be...

"How did they die?" Hazil pushed.

"Why do you want to that?" Melissa asked, obviously trying not to cry.

"Because..." Hazil sighed "because my parents died in a car crash in America."

Melissa's eyes sharpened.

"Well, it could of been a different car crash." Melissa said protectively.

"How did they die?" Hazil asked.

"Hazil, leave it!" Thomas interrupted.

"No Thomas, I need to know." Hazil begged more than argued.

"Their car exploded." Melissa whispered.

I buried my head in my hands.

I could feel Hazil become tense and I felt her wrists tighten.

"Where did the accident happen?" Hazil whispered.

'Please, don't be then' I thought 'please'

"Outside a gas station."
