I placed my head against the door and rested my hand next to it.

I sighed.

I honestly didn't know what to do right now, because it wasn't his fault. We all know that. But there was so many more questions left without answers.
But, sometimes you don't want the answers to the questions, right?

I wanted to cry.
I wanted to scream at the top of my lungs.

I flinched when I felt a pair of hands wrap around my waist.
"Y/N?" It was Thomas.
I sighed and closed my eyes "it's okay." I whispered.
"I can explain everything." He rested his head on top of mine.
"You don't need to. I trust you. Whatever happened in the past can be forgotten, okay? Just don't tell me."
"If that's what you want?"
"Yes. I don't want you to leave me." I whispered even quieter than before, I'm surprised he heard me.
"I will never leave you Y/N. I've just got to get my sisters funeral the way she would of wanted it and make sure it goes smoothly-like she would of wanted. Then I will make everything work."
I turned around and wrapped my arms around his neck "I'm so sorry Thomas. I've been so selfish."
"No, you haven't. You have done everything you can and more. I just love you so much." He pulled me in for a tight hug.

I rested my head on his chest and closed my eyes.
There we stayed standing together for a couple of minutes, but like always, Hazil comes and destroys it.
"Are you kidding me? I can't go anywhere in this stupid house without finding you too arguing or hugging." She moaned.
"Shush." Was all Thomas replied.
It went quiet for a few seconds.
"Thomas! Er, I'm hungry."
"No your not."
"How do you know?" She argued.
Then Thomas let out the biggest sigh I had ever heard, then finally, he spoke his mind "because, Hazil, whenever I try and hug my girlfriend you try and take me away from her! When I try to show any affection it's always 'I need this' or 'I want this' and it's the same thing every day." He pulled out of the hug and was now facing Hazil "she is my girlfriend Hazil! Mine! I don't usually have many girlfriends, you of all people will know that! You need to understand that Y/N will be here for a very very long time. I'm hoping the rest of my life." My heart dropped at his cute comment every girl would dream a boy like Thomas would say.
"But what if I don't like her?" Hazil glared at me, making my heart drop.
"Are you being serious Hazil? Think about it! If you don't like what happens in my house then you can go live with Grandma. What do you think will happen when I go back to film The Scorch Trails? I've already got the script! You won't be coming with me, you have school! If you don't like it then you can leave!" Thomas turned around and grabbed my hand, and began leading me into the living room to watch TV. "Oh and" he added at the end "if your hungry from now on, and you still refuse to eat Y/N's amazing stuff you can make you own stuff!"

Both Hazil and I were speechless.

Maybe my life wasn't so complicated after all.
Maybe my life was mean to be with Thomas.
Maybe I didn't need anyone BUT Thomas.
Maybe, just maybe, I could be happy.
