I locked the hook of my necklace around my neck and rested it on my chest.
I breathed out slowly and checked myself for about the 100th time in the last 30 minutes.Today was the funeral.
Time had passed quickly after Alice left.
Hazil hadn't said a word to me. Not even a moan.
She didn't even look at me.Last night was exceptionally quiet.
Thomas's mum was staying over, she had a breakdown when we were arranging the venue and things, but who could blame her?
I haven't spoken to her about the meal, I need to apologies, but it's the wrong time.
His Mum slept in our room and we slept in the spare room.
It was an uncomfortable night, but we got through it."You look beautiful." Thomas sat down on the bed.
"Thank you." I smiled at him and kissed him gently "we will get through today together, yeah?" I smiled.
"Stay by my side." He grabbed my hand.
"Always." I smiled and I lent my head on his and he copied. The next thing I knew, we were waiting for the cars.
Surprisingly, Hazil came quietly and sat next to me.
She was ever so quiet as she whispered. "Y/N? Can I sit next to you today?" She asked.
I looked down into her eyes and I was shocked.
I saw the pain and the tears she was trying to fight back.
Today wasn't going to be easy.
I smiled "of course."Then we were in the funeral.
The service was so respectful and beautiful.
I saw Thomas smile when he walked in as he knew she would of liked the way it was.
Next to the coffin was a picture of Hazil, her mum and her dad.
I saw a tear fall down the young girls face.
The service was emotional to say the least.Thomas didn't let go of my hand once, he cried a few times, I did my best to keep him steady, but funerals are for mourning, he should be allowed to cry.
I think it was the speech that broke Hazils heart.
She was doing better than I expected till then.
I looked at her as she did the same "I miss them so much." She whispered and bursts into tears.
I pulled her into a hug and held her there as she cried and cried. Then we were outside.
Again, I stood next to Thomas and Hazil as people came and hugged them for support. Then we were back home.
People were seated and standing everywhere.Hazil left my side after a while, I knew I had to find her.
"Y/N?" Thomas looked at me.
"Yes?" I asked.
"What's up?"
"I'm worried about Hazil, I don't know where she is. Will you be okay if I go and find her, I won't be long." I smiled.
"Okay." He kissed me gently. It took me a while to find her, but when I did, I was finally able to understand the real Hazil.
