Trying to contain my laughter, I let Dorian lift me in the air, twirling me around. He had convinced me to dance with him and to be honest, I was enjoying myself. The dinner was exquisite, I had no clue how or where he had gotten the food from but I never got around to asking; I was too busy stuffing my face full of food. As my feet were set on the ground, a loud screaming was heard. Our heads turned towards the door, unsure of where it was coming from. Thumping came next, something was hitting a wall somewhere.

"Dorian?" My grip on his arms tightened, worried that something was coming for us.

"Don't worry, I'm sure it's just a fight between the men on deck." He tried to calm me down though he knew that wouldn't work. I was too curious.

"Maybe we should go check, just in case." I started to walk out of his arms, until he pulled my hand back.

"I thought you wanted tonight to be about us."

"I do, I do, it's just....it could be dangerous." I tried to sound convincing. Another scream erupted, making me jump

What if those screams were Jack? They were muffled so I wasn't able to hear it clearly. Dorian had been ever so angry earlier, there was no doubt he had done something horrible to Jack. But what if I made that happen? Deciding not to push it, I forced a smile to make it look like I would do as he said. Suddenly, the screaming stopped.

"Scarlett?" Dorian tilted my face to look at him again.

"You're right. Let's go back to 'us' time."

Surprisingly, Dorian believed the act I was putting up. I knew where I was going to end up at the end of the night, wrapped up in the bed sheets with Dorian no doubt. However, I knew that I needed to find out what he intended to do with Jack, but whatever it was it wasn't good. It came as a shock to me that Dorian let me hear those screams, wouldn't he want to try and hide it? Ignoring this, I fell under Dorian's spell once again, just like we fell onto the bed tangling ourselves in the sheets.

Dorian whispered sweet nothings in my ear which was quite soothing to me. His lips peppered my face with small kisses, making me giggle. He slipped out of bed, pulling on his trousers. I laid back down, trying to warm up without Dorian to hold me.

"I'll see you again once dawn breaks. You won't even notice I'm gone." Dorian kissed me before he put on a shirt and grabbed a sword. Exiting the room, I waited a couple of minutes, making sure he was gone. Once I was sure that it was safe, I grabbed my robe, secured it tight around me, and prepared myself for the night ahead.

With me, I took my sword, Dorian's keys (which I once again smuggled from him), a candle and some extra daggers, tucked away in my boots. This time, I was properly dressed, not wanting anyone to catch me in my night clothes. After checking probably ten times that I had everything, I finally urged myself to walk out of the door. Jack didn't want me looking for him, but how could I not after hearing those awful screams?

However, as soon as I stepped outside, I realised the problem at hand; I had no idea where to go. Trying to rack my brains for an answer, I thought of where the thumps came from. Setting off in the direction I thought it would be, I just prayed that I would find him soon, I had limited time.

Dorian wouldn't place him back in the room I originally found him. That would be stupid. Then an idea popped into my head; what if those men knew of his whereabouts? Or at least had an idea. Spinning on my heel, I headed towards the foul room, dreading the stench that I would have to endure. Luckily, I remembered the way there and which key it was. Deciding to save my candle for when I actually needed it, I headed inside the room, the moans of the carcass' filling my ears.

"Here she is! The goddess of the world, our queen!" The man who was in tact sarcastically shouted out.

"I don't have time for this! I need your help." I demanded. As I walked over to him, the candlesticks on the wall lighted illuminating the poor souls that were trapped down here.

"What can I assist you with?"

"Do you have any idea as to where Jack is?"

"Your lover? Seeing as he isn't here, he'll be in the 'special room'."

"Where's that?"

"How am I supposed to know?"

Drawing my sword quickly, I held it to the remains of his neck."Tell me!"

"It's at the back of the ship. You'll have to search it yourself."

Thanking him, I sprinted out of the room and down the hall. Twisting and turning through the ship, I tried to make it quickly to the back of the ship. At one point, I got horribly lost and had to circle all the way back, starting again. This ship was like a maze. Maybe it was, maybe Dorian wanted it to be like this.

As I began running again, I felt a presence. Ignoring the feeling, I pushed myself on, running faster than I ever had before. Now I was seeing halls that I hadn't seen before, they were darker than the others. This pleased me though at the same time scared me. I was happy that I hadn't seen these halls, it meant that I was getting somewhere; however, because I hadn't seen these walls before, I had no clue where I was going from now on.

Taking a break from running, I kept to a quick pace. There were many doors, all of them looking the same. My head was hurting from all of this confusion. Stopping, I tried to clear my head and think. I'd have to try unlock all the doors, unless there was a clear difference in one of them. Trying to keep a positive look on things, I studied the doors as I walked past, hoping that there would be some sort of sign.

"I'm sorry your majesty." A voice suddenly said. Spinning on my heel, I was startled by this sudden noise. As I turned around, I was met with a lunch to the face.
