"Skirt or pants?" You mumbled to yourself while staring at the two items of clothing laid on your bed.

Wearing a skirt might be too showy for meeting with Jeonghan's clients. It's not like you're the boss. You want to look professional and approachable.

"I don't want to look like a secretary who's trying to seduce her boss so, pants it is," you grab the beige pants and pair them with your white button-up blouse.

You look at the mirror one last time before heading out from your room and head to the lobby.

You promised Jeonghan that you'd meet him there by eight, but you're 5 minutes late.

"Sorry I'm late," you said with an apologetic face to Jeonghan.

He analyzed your outfit and tilted his head.

"You look..professional?" He said with a questioning tone.

You gave him an unsatisfied look with the comment.

"Fine, you look beautiful,"

You smiled, feeling happy hearing the compliment.

"That's more like it. Was that so hard to say? let's go then,"

Both of you entered the car, and Jeonghan drove to a hotel about a 20-minute drive from the hotel both of you are staying at.

"What am I suppose to do?" You asked Jeonghan, who was paying attention to the car navigation for the direction.

"Just follow me like you always do," he replied with a frown, making sure he's not lost on the road.

"Will there be hot guys there?" You said excitedly.

"No, only old men,"

You leaned back to your seat, hearing Jeonghan's answer. He looks at you.

"Disappointed?" You nodded and look at outside the window instead.

"I'm the hot guy that will be at the meeting," Jeonghan chuckled.

"Jeonghan, it's awkward. I have to follow you around like this," you whispered to Jeonghan.

He keeps greeting people here and there, and you're just following him around. It was a massive meeting in the hotel hall for the new project that will be launched.

"Do you want to hold my hands then? It might not look awkward," he offered his hand, and you scoffed.

"Mr. Yoon, good to meet you again,"

A guy greeted Jeonghan when you both are quarreling.

"Mr. Kim, how are you doing?" He immediately shakes hands with the person with a smile plastered on his face.

"I'm good. I haven't seen you for quite a long time," he replied.

"I was busy with the new project and meetings,"

You stand there beside Jeonghan, hearing all the conversation without doing anything. You hope you can go anywhere instead of just standing and listening.

The meeting will start in an hour, and this is all you need to do?

"Of course you're the CEO now," the guy chuckled and fixed his gaze on you.

"Well, who is this beautiful woman?" He asked you while sticking his hand out.

"I'm Mr. Yoon's secretary. Nice to meet you," you grabbed his hand for a handshake.

"Kim Seon Ho," he introduced himself with a sweet smile.

"Y/n," you replied and smiled back.

Jeonghan cleared his throat, looking at the scene in front of him.

"Mr. Kim, why don't we grab some drink while discussing the project development?" Jeonghan said to him while separating both of your hands.

"Yeah, sure," he smiled at you before waving.

You look at both Jeonghan and Seon Ho walking away from you, and you decided to walk around until you saw an empty chair.

You sat there while drinking a glass of drink and sighed to yourself. You were thinking of walking away from the venue.

Your thoughts were disrupted when a figure stands in front of you, and you looked up only to see Jeonghan smiling at you.

"Do you want to join the meeting?" You frowned at the sudden question.

"Do I even have a choice?"

"There's a mall a few blocks from here," he gestured.

Your eyes widen at the sudden suggestion.

"I can go?"

You immediately stood up straight and were feeling overwhelmed but thinking about him going through the meeting alone made you feel guilty. You're not paid to have some fun while your boss is attending meetings.

"It will be a boring meeting, and I can handle it myself," he said as if he knew what you were thinking.

You were about to say something, but Jeonghan ruffled your hair.

"I'll meet you there when the meeting is over," he said and turned around to walk away, leaving you in a stunned state.

You blinked a few times and fixed your disheveled hair caused by Jeonghan.

Well, if he says so, who are you to reject the offer?

"Wait, y/n," your movement was halted by Jeonghan walking back to you.

"Buy anything you want and call me if anything happens, okay?" He took your hand and gave you his credit card before leaving you alone again.

You were stunned for the second time. You stared at the credit card in your hands and back at him, who smiled at you from afar.

Jeonghan:
I'm at starbucks. Come here if you're done but take your time. I can wait.

You look at the text you just received from Jeonghan and didn't waste any time heading to starbucks. You're not buying anything and were getting bored walking alone in the mall.

As you entered starbucks, you saw Jeonghan scrolling through his phone with two drinks on the table.

Jeonghan saw you walking towards the table he was sitting at and pushed the coffee at the chair in front of him.

He bought your favorite iced caramel macchiato.

"Sorry for the wait," you sat down and took a sip of the coffee.

"It's fine. What did you buy?"

He seems excited and looks around you, trying to see what did you get.

"Nothing,"

"But I gave you my credit card," he said in disbelief.

"I feel guilty to buy anything using your money Jeonghan, but thanks for the coffee though,"

You said and gave him the credit card he gave you earlier.

"All you need to do was swipe the card at any store you want," he mumbled but took the card from your hand.

"Did the meeting go well?" You asked to change the topic.

"Yeah, like usual," he said while biting the straw of his coffee.

You looked at your watch and noticed it was 4 pm already.

"Do you want to head back to the hotel?"

You're worried he might feel tired from the meeting. He seems to think the answer to your question.

"Actually, no,"

It made you frown when he smiled.

"Do you want to go to the beach with me?"
