Chapter 5

***WILLIAM'S P.O.V***

The inscription read ASTHMATIC. My mouth dropped open and I looked at Shona, she looked as though she was about to cry.

'Shona, I'm so sorry, I really didn't mean to upset you.' I said apologeticly.

'It's okay, you just can't spread it around.' She managed to say.

'I promise on everything I have, I will not tell another soul.' I stated.

'Thank-you.' She said quietly.

'No problem.' I said trying to make her feel better. 'And shona I just wanted to let you know that I only wanted to know so badly because I don't want anything bad to happen. I didn't mean to upset you or bring back those bad memories, I just felt like I needed to know incase anything bad does happen. I am really sorry.' I finished.

'Its okay, I bought it up. I guess it was more my fault. But it is really serious though because I was in hospital for a little over a week last time it was at it worst, so I guess I'm just scared incase it happens again.' She answered.

'I'm sorry for asking you to do the talent competition with me. We can go and cross our names out if you want.' I responded.

'Nah, its okay, I think it would be good if I did do it. Besides I kinda wanted someone to sign up with me anyways, so thank-you.' She answered.

'Are you sure?' I asked.

'100% positive.' She answered.

'Cool, thank-you.' I responded.

'Don't worry about it.' She responded.

'Cool.' I stated.

'Ohh, umm, could I please ask you something William?' She asked.

'Umm, yea sure, what's up?' I answered slightly confused.

'Why do care so much about me all of a sudden?' She asked.

'What do you mean?' I asked slightly confused.

'Okay, well you kept saying before that you cared about me, and you looked really worried about me. I just wanted to know why you care about me all of a sudden.' She answered.

'Okay, well umm.' I started not really sure how to answer without letting her know exactly how I feel about her. 'Shona, it's just, I know you're an amazing girl and I just don't wanna be the one to blame if anything goes wrong. I do care about you Shona, why wouldn't I, you were in hospital for a week last time, what if it happens again but its worse this time, I just don't want anything to happen to you or you're beautiful face.' I answered hoping it wasn't too much. She never looked away until the last line and she looked away blushing.

'Thank-you William.' Was all she managed to say.

'No problem at all, anything for you Shona.' I answered. She smiled, blushed and looked away. I looked at Shona and she was wearing other bracelets too so I started looking at them and touching them to see how she'd react. She wore a silver one that had another inscription on it. It said "Love The Life You Live, So You Can Live The Life You Love." I smiled at her and she was looking at me.

'That's a really nice one, I like the saying on it.' I said to her with a smile.

'Thanks, my grandma gave it to me before she passed away. She was the only one who believed in my dreams.' She said weekly.

'Really? I'm sorry, I'm saying everything that upsets you, I'm really sorry.' I said sadly.

'It's okay, you didn't know.' She said with a smile.
