1: Friends Before Fame. (William Singe)

Chapter 65

***WILLIAM'S P.O.V***

Ms James finally decided to tell everyone who the final competitor was and luckily enough it was me!! I was so happy but tried my best not to show that I was overly excited.

Next week was finals so they decided to make it harder. They paired us up and said that we had to do a duet with another partner. I got to go with Shona and Matthew was more than happy to go with Rebecca. So things worked out perfectly in my opinion. We then have to perform a song of any kind by ourselves to show off our talent or the reason why we made it to the finals. My reason was definitely Shona.

We walked off stage and Shona and i went and congratulated the two contestants who didn't make it through. They thanked us then wished us luck with the rest of the competition. We cleaned up the hall before getting our stuff then heading off to lunch together.

'You were great out there today beautiful.' I complimented as we started walking towards the oval.

'Thanks William, you were amazing too.' She responded and I put my arm around her shoulder.

We went and sat on the grass where we usually sit and I automatically put my arms around Shona. Whenever I did that she would always snuggle up to me and I loved the feeling I get when she does that. We just sit there cuddling up to each other happy with light conversation.

Ryan, Chad, Alexis and Niki came over and sat with us for the first time in what seemed like years. We talked about whatever and had fun in the process, it was amazing. I had also noticed that the girls were changing the boys for the better. I mean, usually Chad would swear at least once in every sentence, but the whole time be was in this circle with us and the girls around, a bad word never escaped his lips. And Ryan usually is the one who would interrupt anyone who he thought was lower class than him cause he's a pretty popular kid. The whole time he never interrupted anyone who was talking and he got tonnes of affection from Niki for it. Shona was probably changing me for the better too but I just couldn't necessarily notice it yet. If I have been changed by being with Shona then I think she's made me more understanding and she has made me see that we have it pretty good compared to the sick kids in the hospital. She's even showed me that dreams do come true otherwise I wouldn't be sitting here with the girl of my dreams right now. I have to repay her in some way, I just need to find the perfect way to do so.

Shona noticed that I was thinking about this and kissed my cheek then whispered, 'What are you thinking about?'

'You.' I responded and a smile formed on her lips.

'What about me?' She whispered back and I smiled.

'Everything great that I could possibly think about you.' I answered and she smiled even bigger.

'Will, please stop.' She pleaded and I smiled.

'Hey, you asked so I told you, its the truth, that's what you want right?' I responded kissing her cheek. She smiled and buried her head into my shoulder. I hugged her for a bit then layed back and she laughed lightly before sitting back up. I sat behind her and put my arms around her and she put her hands on mine.

'I love you beautiful.' I whispered and I seen her smile.

'I love you too William.' She responded and I kissed her cheek. She looked down and I noticed her blushing and the girls looking at us in awe, and the boys looking at me with a hint of jealousy, as if to say, 'they don't do that to us.' and I smiled then looked back at Shona. I hugged her tighter and she smiled. We stayed like this for the rest of lunch, and it seemed as though things couldn't get more perfect between her and I.

The rest of the day went well with us going to class and then after school we both decided to choose a song at the park, to burn some time. We both decided on the song we were doing together, but kept it a secret as to what song we were going to sing on our own.

I took her home and spoke to her mum and André for a little bit before I said my goodbyes to her and headed home. We were texting and skyping and calling, and I was so upset that it was a Friday because I wouldn't see her again until Sunday when we go to see the kids up at the hospital. Hopefully this tomorrow goes really quickly....

~~~Sunday Morning~~~

Its finally Sunday!!! Yesterday went extra slowly and I hated it so bad. I got ready then headed over to Shona's house to pick her up and take her to the hospital to see these sick kids. We did the exact same things as last week except I remembered to get the bow tie this time. Mann, the more I see these kids, the more I'm slowly getting attached to them. I'd hate to know how attached to them Shona is. That's probably why she as so upset when Hayley told her the news the other day.

All of the kids are great though, I mean they know and understand how lucky they are that they're still here right now. They love each other to bits and they act as if the nurses and doctors are second parents to them. These kids don't deserve to be here in the hospital but they do deserve to be living their life even if they're in hospital because it could be worse.

The week from then onwards went pretty quickly and before I knew it it was Thursday night, my family and Shona's family were going out together. This is now the most nervous I've been in my entire life, what if our parents don't get along, that would be horrible. I mean I really do hope that they get along and everything goes smoothly because I don't wanna ruin things just because my parents wanted to meet her parents.

Dad came into my room and helped me with my tie because whenever I'm nervous I can never do it properly. He tied it for me and I thanked him. He then gave me a lecture about how I just need to be myself and not let the nerves affect me. He was right though, he always was, maybe I should have listened to him earlier when he tried to give me advice with this kind of stuff. He was going to try and give me tips of what I should do with Shona, like ask her to dance with me and stuff, but I stopped him because I already have everything planned out, I just hope she accepts everything I try and do......
