Chapter 56

***WILLIAM'S P.O.V***

We walked into Ben's room and his face lit up when he saw us.

'Hey man, you look happy.' I stated and he laughed.

'Yesssss, you guys are here, why wouldn't I be happy?' He responded and I smiled at Shona.

'Aww.' She cooed then went and gave him a hug.

'Have you been Ben?' She asked.

'Okay. Ohh, and guess what?' He asked us both.

'What?' Shona responded.

'What's up dude?' I asked.

'I made a new friend in the play centre the other day. His room is nextdoor and his name is Robbie. We were playing cars together and he said that he knows you too.' He informed us both happily.

'Yeah, we know Robbie. I'm glad you guys are friends now, maybe I could convince the doctors into letting you two share a room, what do you think?' Shona asked.

'That would be awesome.' He responded excitedly.

'I will see what I can do.' Shona replied and looked at me as if to say, 'help me out?' And I nodded my head in agreement.

'Hey Ben, I bought that hat I promised you.' I stated and he couldn't look any more excited. I got his black and blue hat out of the bag and passed it to him.

'Awesome!! That's so cool!! Thank you so much Will!!' He stated as he studied the hat before putting it on. I tightened the bit at the back so it wouldn't fall over his eyes.

'No problem dude, don't mention it.' I replied with a smile.

'You guys are the best!!' He stated and reached out for mine and Shona's hands. He pulled us in and hugged us both at the same time.

'Alright Ben. We've gotta go now, I'll see what I can do about you and Robbie about sharing a room, but we'll see you in the play centre soon okay?' Shona informed him after we pulled out of the hug.

'Okay. Thanks for coming guys. And thanks for the hat Will.' He responded.

'No problem man, we'll see you in the play centre soon alright?' I replied and he nodded his head.

'Bye.' He responded and we headed for the door.

'Seya Ben.' Shona and I said together as we walked out the door. We headed over to Robbie's room, oh yeah that's right he went for that test the other day after we seen him, I hope everything went well. Shona opened his door and I followed her into his room.

'Hey Robbie. How are you?' Shona asked him.

'Better than I was last time.' He responded.

'How did you're test go that you told me about last week?' She asked.

'It went alright. The doctors told me the results came back positively.' He answered and looked over at me. 'I stayed strong like you said.' He informed me.

'Great job dude. I got the hat I promised to get for you.' I said pulling it out of the bag and passing it to him. His face lit up and he looked as though he loved the hat.

'Cool, my favourite two colours red and black. This is the best hat ever. Thank you Will.' He stated and I tightened the hat before he put it on his head.

'No problem dude, glad you like it.' I responded with a smile and he smiled back.

'Hey Robbie, a little birdie told us that you made a new friend.' Shona stated and he laughed.
