Chapter 50

***WILLIAM'S P.O.V***

I was so nervous, I was trying to do my tie in the mirror but I couldn't do it cause I wasn't thinking straight.

'William, when are you meant to be leaving?' My mum asked.

'Umm, in a minute. I can't do my tie.' I answered.

'Honey, can you come and help Will with his tie please?' She called down the hall to dad. Dad came in and fixed my tie because mum only puts knots in them.

'Stop stressing son, just calm down alright.' He tried to help.

'I can't dad. I'm worried things wont go as planned, and she wont like it.' I responded and put on my tuxedos jacket. 'I just can't believe it's happening with her, you know?' I continued.

'I was the same with your me and your mums first date, and look where we are now. You'll be fine kid, you just need to be yourself, and let her see the real you. Show her that you care about her and tell her you were nervous before the date. Just tell her how you feel kid and she'll do the same for you, okay?' He tried to reassure me and I just nodded and tried to take in everything he told me.

'Thanks dad.' I responded and he smiled.

'No problem son. Now you better go pick her up before she thinks you're gonna show her up.' He told me and walked out of the room.

I looked in the mirror one last time and tried to compose myself abit more and relax before I left. I decided it was time to go before Shona thought the worst of me and I definitely didn't wanna be late.

'Alright, mum, dad, Ash, I've gotta get going. I'll be back just after ten okay?' I asked and mum kissed my cheek and dad did too. Ash smiled and then I headed for the door.

'Don't forget what I told you, alright son?' Dad said before I left.

'Thanks dad, I wont.' I responded and closed the door behind me as I headed for the car.

I started the car and headed for Shona's house, whoa, I hope these nerves don't get the better of me. I looked at the time as I parked the car outside of Shona's house and I was 5 minutes early. I decided to go in and talk to her mum for a bit if she wasn't ready yet. 'This is it dude, you can do this, just be you, things will be fine.' I tried to convince myself as I walked up the path to her door. I took a deep breath then knocked on the door.

'Coming.' I heard her mum call and she opened the door. 'Hello honey. You look very dressed up for tonight.' She stated and I nodded my head in agreement.

'Thanks Mrs Thompson.' I managed to respond.

'Are you nervous honey, do you want a drink of water or something?' She asked.

'Yes please, but is it that obvious that I'm nervous?' I asked and she walked into the kitchen and passed me a glass of water. 'Thanks.'

'Look William, it is slightly obvious but I honestly don't think Shona will notice because she will be too nervous herself. She has been nervous since this morning before school and she hasn't stopped talking about it since she's been home. I'm sure she will enjoy it where ever you take her, no matter what.' She tried to convince me.

'Ohh yeah, here's where I'm taking her.' I said as I passed her a piece of paper that I wrote it on incase Shona heard. She smiled and she nodded her head approvingly.

'I'm sure she'll love it.' She responded and I heard footsteps, I turned around to see where they were coming from. Shona was walking down the stairs slowly in a black mid thigh length dress. She had her hair down and she had made it slightly curly. She still wasn't wearing any make up but she honestly didn't need it. She looked as nervous as I was, and I took her hand and lead her down the last few stairs.

'You look beautiful Shona, I mean you always look beautiful to me, but you look extra beautiful tonight, I mean you're not wearing make up like always but you still look extra beautiful.' I rambled on and she giggled. 'What's so funny?' I asked.

'Thanks William. You look extra handsome too, even more handsome than usual.' She responded and I kissed her cheek.

'Alright, guys I'm going to ruin this little moment and ask to take a picture.' Her mum asked and Shona giggled.

'Sure.' I responded and went to camera on my phone. Her mum ended up taking 3 pictures, one on my phone, one on Shona's phone and one on her mums camera. We decided to get going afterwards and I walked her out to the car with her hand in mine. I opened the door for her and she thanked me then got in. I went and got into the car also and looked over at Shona before I started the car.

'Shona, you truely do look amazing tonight.' I complimented and she smiled.

'William, you truely do look handsome tonight.' She practically repeated what I said and I smiled.

'Thanks beautiful.' I stated and kissed her lips softly.

'Thanks William.' She responded after the kiss.

'Okay, I think we should get going now, is that alright?' I asked.

'Sure.' She responded and I started the car. The trip to the restaurant went really quickly even though it was a 20 minute drive.

I parked the car and went and opened the door for Shona then locked it afterwards. I took her hand and lead her to the restaurant I had booked reservations for. The restaurant was one of the really elegant, slightly more expensive restaurants I could have choosen to take her to. She stopped just outside the door and looked at me.

'Will, are you serious? This place is really expensive.' She asked and I smiled.

'I know beautiful, its worth it though because its for you.' I responded and she shook her head no.

'Will, you don't need to take me to an expensive restaurant to make me feel special, you can do that without taking me anywhere.' She responded.

'Thanks beautiful, I'm glad you feel that way. But this is my favourite restaurant and I haven't been here in ages. I wanna take you on this date and for you and me to never forget a second of it.' I tried to convince her.

'Okay, fine. Lets go.' She gave in.

'Thank you.' I replied and kissed her cheek. She smiled and I lead her into the restaurant.

'Reservations for William Singe please.' I said to the lady at the desk.

'Ahh, yes Mr Singe, right this way.' She said and lead us to the place I had booked, and it looked better than I expected....
